Acting Event Producer - 3 Month Fix Term Contract - June - August Standon Calling is a 17,000 capacity boutique music and arts festival in Hertfordshire with an office in North London. The festival began as a birthday party for the director fifteen years ago and has grown to welcome some of the biggest acts in music; from Grace Jones to George Ezra, Orbital to Wolf Alice. With an emphasis on new music talent, family entertainment, street food and comedy, as well as an ethos based on inclusivity, creativity and fun, the festival enjoys a dedicated audience who come back year after year, along with a growing community discovering the festival for the first time. The Role Standon Calling is looking for an Acting Event Producer to join our small Promoter team, (remote working in advance, or from our London office if preferred) as part of a small team in the lead up to and at the 2021 festival, taking place 22-25 July, as well as covering post-festival wrap up. Will be required onsite over the week of the event. Accommodation will be provided. You’ll report to the Festival Director to ensure the smooth and successful delivery of the 2021 event. You’ll have responsibility for the oversight of third-party suppliers the festival works with, including production and operation teams, third-party content providers and sponsorship teams. Responsibilities - Work closely with core festival production and creative teams to ensure all aspects of the festival are delivered to a high standard. - Liaison with customer-facing third-party area producers and content providers. For example, the festival’s Wellbeing Area, Boutique Camping, Restaurant, Trader Manager etc. - Oversight of any required operational measures for 2021 event, with specific reference to Covid-19 - Lead brand partnership agency day-to-day relationship and direct festival-brand partnerships - Represent Promoter at key on-site management and production meetings - Manage on-site promoter office with staffing - Manage and work collaboratively with other members of Standon Calling core office staff including Marketing Manager, Event Manager and junior staff. - Support Festival Director when necessary, with ad hoc tasks Knowledge & Skills Would most suit someone with… - 5 years + relevant experience in a similar role within festivals, events, media or linked sector. - A higher education qualification in directly-related of transferable discipline - Strong organisational skills, with keen attention to detail - Excellent communicator - Enjoys entrepreneurial and creative approaches - Analytical thinker - An interest in music, festivals and the arts Key Info Full Time Freelancer Role (Flexible hours and remote working for advance and post possible) Pay dependent on experience Start: ASAP End: August 2021 (tbc) With on-site requirement throughout period: 16th-26th July 2021 (accommodation provided) Own laptop required
