GIACC DG D a t u k Seri M o h d Sallehuddin Hassan said MyGP is one of the efforts under the initia- tive to establish a strong and effec- tive mechanism in the permit and license issuance process. "This is as e n s h r i n e d in the N a t i o n a l A n t i - C o r r u p t i o n Plan (NACP) to strengthen and re-engi- neer public sector services towards more agile, responsive, and integrity delivery," said Mohd Sallehuddin at MyGP virtual launch last Friday. He said integrity-driven govern- ance has a great impact and it is not subject to the scope of anti- corruption and misconduct. "As the application process for licences and permits becomes more transparent, it will be easier for companies and consumers to start and continue business operations," he noted. The website is also expected to increase productivity levels, espe- cially among the business commu- nity and civil servants. "MyGP is the government's effort in addressing issues of licence and business permit applications such as i n c o m p l e t e d o c u m e n t a t i o n , non-compliance with the applica- tion requirements, a n d repeated overlapping processes. This can save time and costs on the part of the applicant," MPC DG D a t u k Abdul Latif Abu Seman said. Besides, it is in line with produc- t i v i t y i m p r o v e m e n t i n i t i a t i v e s t h r o u g h the National Policy for G o o d P r a c t i c e R e g u l a t i o n s (NPGRP), w h e r e all r e g u l a t o r y agencies m u s t comply, w i t h the p r o c e d u r e s f o r d r a f t i n g a n d amending regulations. "The N P G R P e m p h a s i s e s the ecosystem of regulation of integrity and includes complete, transparent, a n d easy information and guid- ance," stated MPC. Moreover, c o n s u m e r access to MyGP also supports the country's economic recovery efforts by mak- ing it easier for businesses to enter the market quickly and seamlessly, while at the same time creating new job opportunities. It also stated that MyGP is in line with the 12th Malaysia Plan where strengthening policies and legisla- tion are among the key strategies in improving policy and governance. "A strong and integrity policy and legal ecosystem will facilitate transformation at the sectoral level and thus move , to a higher value chain," it added.
