Competition Format Fishing days – The best 4 days during the event (weather dependant) Fishing times – 9am to 5pm (boats can launch prior to 9am but must remain in the area of the launch site until 9am. Also, all boats must be returned to the launch site by 5pm.) Launch sites – Drummore or Port Logan (weather dependant and will be discussed at the skippers meeting) N.B – Fishing days may be changed in the event of adverse weather between 13th & 18th Sep Prize Format Cash prizes only Prizes for most species over duration of event, in addition to a prize for the longest tope and the longest flat fish. 50% of total entry money to charity the remainder to prize fund. Rules • Catch, measure (where required), picture and release • 3 hook limit per rod, 2 rods per angler maximum • No size limit on species for pictures • Any fish being retained by competitors for the table must be within Minimum Conservation Reference Sizes (MCRS) in UK waters as per statutory guidance. Mull of Galloway Sea Angling Festival 2020 – Get Back to Fishing – Species Hunt • There will be no boundary restrictions unless adverse weather dictates otherwise, these will be advised at the launch sites each day. Catch Records Skippers will be issued with an ID tag, measures and a record sheet each day of the competition. A picture must be taken of each species with the ID tag visible, certain species require a specific picture (see Huss below) and certain species should be measured. Each catch must then be recorded on the record sheet (measure where applicable) Mull of Galloway Sea Angling Festival 2020 – Get Back to Fishing – Species Hunt Skippers must have daily totals verified by officials via photographs within 2 hours of close of play of each fishing day, this will take place upstairs in the Clashwhannon under social distancing rules i.e. look but don't touch. Additional Info • Skippers meeting 7pm Saturday 12th September upstairs in Clashwhannon. • Competitors should use Channel 10 for radio communication with officials, there will be daily radio check carried out for all boats. • Daily updates of leader board will be provided both in the Clashwhannon and on the MOGSAF Facebook page. • Daily ID cards issued at the launch site COVID-19 Social distancing should be respected at all times Sanitising stations will be provided at both launch sites and Clashwhannon ID tags, measures and packs will be sanitised prior to issue When providing evidence of pictures, contact should be avoided and devices should be presented without the need for touching.
