If you have props you’d like to use, please contact one of the organising team to discuss. On the Day: All participants will be required to walk the duration of the parade route. Those with physical disabilities may prefer to have a reserved viewing space along the Parade Route in a specially arranged section. The parade route is approx. 2.4kms and about 1.5 hours, plus standing waiting time (hours) depending on our mustering position. Personal bags are to be carried during the parade, there will be no room on the vehicle for bags due to safety requirements). The Wait in Lockdown: The Parade Marshalling Area (the start) is usually locked down 6-7pm, with ALL participants in the area by 5pm. Entry after this time may mean you are unable to march with the float. We will be mustered and waiting until our scheduled marching time to join the parade, generally around 9pm. Some food trucks are operating in the muster area, feel free to bring water and snacks (alcohol & glass is not permitted). Weather: In recent years weather has ranged from mid 30s and sunny to torrential cold downpours. Try to come prepared (sun block/rain poncho). Meeting Place: All accepted entrants will be advised of the meeting time and place via email, before the day. Failure to arrive at the Marshalling area before lockdown may mean no entry, please ensure you arrive ahead of time to not miss out. Follow directions: All participants will be required to follow directions from the Float Coordinators, Float Marshalls, Parade Marshalls and Emergency Personnel. NSW Police have advised: NO Glass, NO Alcohol, NO Drugs, NO Weapons and NO Animals!
