IPL Auction Rulebook: About: Th is event involves making your own IPL team by buying players through auction. Each auctioned player will be given scores based on their performance in the live matches . The final scores of the teams would be the summation of individual player scores. The t eam with most points and the end of the final live match wins the event. Timeline: ❖ 8 th March (DAY 0) - ➢ Quiz to shortlist 8 participating teams ➢ Auction/Bidding begins ➢ Negotiation Round ❖ 9 th March (DAY 1) - ➢ CSK vs SRH (afternoon) ➢ RCB vs MI (evening) ➢ Scoreboard updation ❖ 10 th March (DAY 2) – ➢ KKR vs DC (afternoon) ➢ RR vs LSG (evening) ➢ Scoreboard updation ❖ 11 th March (DAY 3) – ➢ Declaring the final results and winners Instructions: Participants have to take part in groups of 5 - 6 members. 1. Quiz – a. An offline quiz would be conducted before the auction. b. Quiz has to be given in groups formed by the participants. c. 8 teams would be shortlisted from the quiz 2. Auction/Bidding – a. Each team would be give xxxxxx amount as Credits with which they would have to buy players for their team. b. There are total 120 players to choose from 8 actual ipl teams playing on DAY1 and DAY2. c. Each player would have a minimum base price which would vary depending on the player. d. A minimum bidding amount is set and the bid would be considered only if it is above this bidding amount. e. The maximum bid gets the player f. Each team must have a minimum of 11 players . Any team failing to do so would be directly eliminated. 3. Negotiation Round – a. This round is specifically for the team which fail to get a minimum of 11 teams. b. Teams with less number of players can negotiate their remaining Cedits or best player s for 2 - 3 weaker players from other team. c. In the end, each team has to decide their playing 15 d. Any additional players (above 15) and the residual Credit left with the team after the auction will be accommodated in the final scoreboard accordingly. 4. Scoring for DAY1 and DAY2 – There are total of 4 live matches on DAY1 and DAY2 DAY1 DAY2 AFTERNOON CSK vs SRH KKR vs DC EVENING RCB vs MI RR vs LSG a. Scores of players will be based on their performance in these matches. b. Only measurable f actors such as most runs scored, most wickets taken, man of the match etc. will influence the scores of the players. c. Final team score would be the summation of individual player scores after all the matches. Team with highest score wins PRIZES: CONTACTS: OTHER POINTERS : a. We can project the scoreboard during valediction ceremony which is just before the final match b. We can also project the highlights of the previous 3 games during the valediction ceremony
