We are actualizing that through GAMIX protocol, a next gen decentralized gaming platform. We found the need to solve payment, quality, third party and other issues related to the gaming and betting platforms. Hence, we are integrating a governance and demand based utility token called, GMIX and GMIX Gold respectively. The governance token will be pooled to earn gmix gold while the Gamixg, a deﬂational token will be for utility or enabling users to purchase games. The protocol proposes unique scholarship, tournament and jackpot programs to make gaming rewarding. It features state of the art UI/UX, speed, effects, genre and allows players to access gaming at any location across the globe. The GAMIX platform boasts of fun ﬁlled rewarding games and allows users to earn while playing their choice games. Although we hope to expand to other games, we are starting off with poker cards and cards. Through a one phase presale, we are seeking to raise funds to fully deploy the platform. However, development has already started as we are working with a timeline as shown on the sections below. 3 Introduction Before the advent of blockchain, gamers and other entertainers can not own decentralized applications. They also depend on ﬁat to fund and pay for gaming and other assets. Thanks to cryptocurrency and deﬁ that changed the narrative. Today, a game player and developer alike can own, fund and play games in a distributed network. Beyond payments, players and other users can perform other ﬁnancial obligations like staking, lending, yielding, among other obligations. Therefore, if cryptocurrency must attain mass adoption, it must ﬁnd application in various industries like entertainment, supply chain, and so many everyday use cases. To achieve that, deﬁ has distinguished itself as one of the vehicles to attain mass adoption. With deﬁ, users can co-own, fund and perform ﬁnancial obligations in a distributed and decentralized networks. However, various deﬁ platforms offering gamiﬁed solutions have not since captured the poker game industry. Hence, the need to include poker enthusiasts on the map of achieving ﬁnancial inclusions while playing their favourite poker games. Through GAMIX, we are bringing games especially poker to the real player and as such, making gaming and betting a lifetime experience. Meanwhile, lets explore the traditional poker gaming limitations before exposing the solutions, Gamix is seeking to provide. 4 Gambling and poker gaming market metrics Various research suggests that the gambling industry is growing. Statistica estimated the gambling market size to be around $92.6B in 2023. Another source, Global Newswire in a report titled; Global Online Gambling Market (2020 to 2027) - Size, Share &Trends Analysis Report said the industry is expected to reach USD 127.3 billion by 2027, registering a CAGR of 11.5% from 2020 to 2027. However, the industry may likely not maintain the growth or may grow faster than predicted depending on some factors. Those factors are problems whose solutions make or mars the sector. For instance, the growth is subject to the following; Payment limitations- Card declination It appears as if gambling is an outlaw, whereas it has regulations and guidelines. Therefore, some payment gateways like PayPal, Bank of America, swipe, and others often deny betters the opportunity to fund betting accounts. That way, they are likely denied playing the game of their choice. While the sector is progressively solving the limitations, many players need a simpler way to fund and bet games. A good way is simply building a gaming platform with its token and payment method. When a poker gaming platform, for instance, integrates a payment solution, users may not worry about checking google and doing extensive research about how to pay for games. 5 Concurrently, the easier payment becomes, the faster the industry grows. With such a platform, smart contract predetermines in an immutable manner, a wonderful poker user experience. Complexity Most modern poker and other gambling platforms are way too complex for an average user. Coincidentally, while trying to solve a problem, the complexity of the platforms deters players. By that, the complexity of such a platform reduces users interest. However, the antidote is building simple and interactive user interference to make betting and gaming easy and fun. 6 LIMITED POKER OPTIONS Due to the various problems including payments, poker gaming platforms are few. Also, the available ones have a few varieties and less fun to play. The industry needs to grow, and developers need to integrate varieties that will not only be easier to play but offer great and fun gaming. Bets should not be bored; hence, the need to bring innovations and ﬁrst-class experience to games. How to achieve this is rolling out services and products that meet the needs of the player and not necessarily a money-making program for developers. 7 Understanding Gaming on the blockchain Blockchain which found application in several applications, is also very useful for gaming. First, it is distributed and decentralized ledger technology that allows secure, transparent, and immutable transaction in a peer to peer system. Blockchain provides for decentralized, distributed and autonomous applications that enable developers and users to operate in a peer to peer system. Gaming and betting can be fun if all users need to connect a wallet and a standard computer speciﬁcation to develop, play and earn gaming rewards. Blockchains DeFi utilizes smart contract, decentralized applications, also called DApps and the internet to play and earn rewards while playing the poker of choice. Blockchain has provided its secure, transparent and immutable features. However, there are still more to be desired. For instance, the speed, good user experience, throughput among others are areas of concern in most game of choice today. To ﬁx that, we are developing GAMIX, a gamiﬁed deﬁ application that allows game enthusiasts to earn rewards while playing their best games deployed on the platform. 8 The GMIX gamified DeFi GAMIX is a gamiﬁed and non-custodial Ethereum based deﬁ protocol built for poker enthusiasts. It seeks to expand gaming, starting from poker and at the same time allowing users to use native tokens for incentives and payments. The GAMIX protocol proffers solutions to the endemic problems of poker gaming and gambling. It is set to combat payments issues, low speed and genre, user experience, varieties and many others for users. GMIX protocol uses a dual token model to mitigate the challenges of traditional poker gaming. The tokens are for governance and utility. The governance token is a community-driven coin used to incentives and secures the platform. In contrast, the utility token is used for GAMIX protocol products and services like staking, tournaments, among others. Thanks to the blockchain, our platform brings millions of people across the globe to tournaments, jackpots and other poker gaming activities all in a click. The platform features varieties of rare cards and users are provided with an all in one platform to earn rewards while playing poker. Since it is operating on the blockchain, players simply connect their wallets to stake, play and win tournaments and jackpots all with the help of the utility and governance tokens as the cases may be. Free and fair gaming Traditional poker would have been cheap and fair but several third party interference sometimes make it costly and manipulative. Consequently, we are operating a smart contract driven poker void of third party interference. By deploying smart contracts to poker and gambling, the protocol execute on its own the agreement of players. For instance, when a player bets or purchases a card for a certain amount, there will be no third party to predict or decide outcomes. By implication of the security and transparency of the blockchain, it will not be easy or let's say it will be impossible to mutate or manipulate games and outcomes. We found that Ethereum is costlier to maintain at the moment especially now that gas fees are high. To enable fair and affordable gaming, we are deploying the GAMIX gaming protocol on the binance smart chain. It comprises of the following; Staking Staking is one of the fundamental features of the GAMIX gaming platform. It complements other mechanisms of the protocol to add value and incentive the users. Users acquire the governance token, GMIXG to stake. Staking is designed in a simple and proﬁtable way such that a game lover needs to connect wallets and ﬁll the appropriate details to own a token and as such own a stake on the platform. With the stake, the users can further earn incentives by using the platform.
