The lifestyle of humans is rapidly changing, and, correspondingly, their needs and the current and future megatrends of the food market. It is worth mentioning (1) the preference for natural, simple, and flexible diets that drive the further expansion of plant-focused formulations, (2) the focus on food sustainability (food waste reduction), and (3) the interest in healthy eating as the basis for good health. The hectic routine and rapid urbanization in developed and developing regions, respectively, have shifted consumer preferences toward bread and baked foods, which, interestingly, are often high in sugars and are categorized as having a high glycemic index. Therefore, it is of major importance to address the technological challenges of manufacturing baked goods with high physical and sensory quality that result in positive metabolic responses. This Special Issue seeks to provide fundamental understanding in this area and novel strategies to improve the nutritional properties of baked goods, including a decrease in starch bioaccessibility, sugar reduction, increase in fiber and/or protein content, and the improvement of phytochemical bioactivity. This Special Issue will also cover studies on the physical and sensory improvements of baked goods that may provide a mechanistic understanding to minimize the loss of quality after the incorporation of nutritional-improving ingredients, such as edible byproducts, proteins, or fibers. Last but not least, studies focused on the reduction of additives (clean label) or fat and on the use of sourdough to improve the sensory properties of baked goods will also be included.

Ensuring the sustainability of early stage companies and increasing awareness of the need for balancing targets against different stakeholder groups among young companies are not well developed. Young companies, in the first place, want to achieve financial success very often without regard for aspects such as the environment, positive relationships with employees, suppliers or other stakeholder groups, fulfilling requirements of labor law, etc. Another issue is that of companies whose business models are based on actuarially-preferred concepts, such as sharing economy, sustainable development, e-comers, e-commerce, renewable energy, social media, and others. A key issue is the resignation of companies from an approach to business, based on the foundations of classical economics to the sharing economy. Theory and practice seek new solutions in the sphere of value sharing in these new areas of sharing, and innovative forms of its implementation. Intriguing is the relationship of these business models with sustainability issues, as well as wondering how technology can influence sustainability. A contemporary approach to consumer value fits in with the assumption of a shared economy. It is interesting how it affects the assumptions of sustainability of business. The ongoing changes in the value system of potential consumers create new conditions for the design of sustainability business models and creation of innovation.

Hierdurch entstünde eine weitaus robustere und besser an den Kontext angepasste Architektur, da ungeeignete Dienstgeber dynamisch ausgetauscht werden könnten. Ziel der Arbeit war daher die Schaffung einer semantischen Dienstbeschreibungssprache, die als Grundlage für eine solche Dienstnutzung dienen kann.

Berthold Viertel – a writer and director born in Vienna in 1885 – left an extensive yet fragmentary autobiographical project that had been subject to many substantial changes during his exile and remigration in 1948. In order to examine Viertel’s complex autobiographical writing an innovative biographical approach had to be chosen, interlinking his autobiographical practice between 1917 and 1953 with collective memory and current research in 15 biographical “sites of memory” (lieux de mémoire), encompassing the period between 1860 and 1917. Viertel is shown as a fascinating player in the cultural scene of Vienna 1900 as well as a typical representative of a critical avant-garde, whose lines of tradition he wanted to preserve in his autobiographical writing.Die vorliegende Biografie entstand in Auseinandersetzung mit Berthold Viertels autobiografischer Praxis durch Exil und Remigration sowie mit seinen Re- und Dekonstruktionen von kollektiver Erinnerung an ein „anderes“ Wien 1900, die ein Gegenbild zu den idealisierenden Darstellungen seines Freundes und Kollegen Stefan Zweig entwarfen. Seine Erinnerungen an „kritische Modernität“ und ihre Umstände im Wien 1900 wurden mit der Forschung zur Wiener Moderne in Beziehung gesetzt und zu 15 biografischen Erinnerungsorten gebündelt. Viertel wird dabei sowohl als wesentlicher Akteur und Netzwerker in der Kulturszene Wiens sichtbar wie auch als typischer Repräsentant einer kritischen Avantgarde, deren Traditionslinien er durch sein Schreiben bewahren wollte.

If Tom Clancy was writing this one, there'd be nuclear weapons instead of swords and email instead of telegrams, but even he couldn't pull off the simple but subtle romantic story and the triumphant but poignant ending like Anthony Hope does in "The Prisoner of Zenda."

Alla jordbruk drevs dock inte av familjer av den traditionella sorten. Ett alternativ var att tv eller flera av barnen tillsammans vertog grden, fortsatte bo ihop och frblev ogifta. Men hur vanliga var sdana syskonjordbruk? Hur fungerade de och vilka var motiven bakom syskonens levnadsval? Med hjlp av hushllsanalyser, statliga utredningar och intervjuer tecknar historikern Martin Dackling i Istllet fr ktenskap fr frsta gngen historien om syskonjordbruken. Han visar att de varken var ovanliga eller utgjorde kvarlevor frn ett ldre bondesamhlle. Frn att tidigare knappt ha existerat blev det frn slutet av 1800-talet allt vanligare att brder och systrar drev grdar ihop och under 1930- och 1940-talet var de ett mycket vanligt inslag p svensk landsbygd. Although the countryside changed fundamentally, the farming family - consisting of husband, wife and children - is often seen as intact. However, all farms were not driven by families of the traditional type. One alternative was that two or more of the children took over the farm together, continued to live in the same household and remained unmarried. But how common were such sibling farms? How did they work and what were the motives behind the siblings' choice to live together? Based on household analyzes, government reports and interviews, historian Martin Dackling in Instead of marriage sketches the history of the sibling farms. He shows that they were neither unusual nor remains of an older peasant society. From the beginning of the 19th century, it became increasingly common for brothers and sisters to take over the farm together and in the 1930s and 1940s sibling farms were a common feature of Swedish countryside. However, after 1950 they became increasingly unusual. The book discusses why the sibling farms arose and Dackling points to cultural, social and economic explanations. An important circumstance was also that most of the siblings remained unmarried. Love relations were not missing, but marriage was difficult to combine with siblings living in the same household. Love relations and sibling relations were in a complicated correlation with each other, and on many farms, living with siblings became an alternative to marriage.

Gegenstand der vorliegenden Untersuchung ist der synchronische Vergleich zweier slavischer Sprachen im Bereich der Negation, eines Teilgebiets der Wortbildungslehre und insbesondere der Syntax, wobei der Terminus "Syntax" auch die über den Satz hinausreichende Textsyntax umfassen soll. Die Arbeit dient somit als Baustein für eine vergleichende Syntax des Russischen und Polnischen, darüber hinaus der slavischen Sprachen, in zweiter Linie kann sie ein Hilfsmittel für den Dritt- und Viertsprachenerwerb des deutschsprachigen Slavisten sein, der das Polnische gewöhnlich nach dem Russischen erlernt.
