Theater ist Körperkunst. Diese Aussage steht im Zentrum von Meike Wagners Studie »Nähte am Puppenkörper«. Die Autorin verschreibt sich jedoch keinem Abgrenzungsdiskurs zwischen einem 'präsenten', also unmittelbar erlebbaren Theaterkörper und einem (filmischen) Medienkörper, sondern erarbeitet durch den Bezug auf die konstruierten, verstörenden Kunstkörper des zeitgenössischen Figurentheaters eine medienphilosophische Perspektive, die postmoderne Körpertheorien und phänomenologische Ansätze verbindet. Damit leistet sie einen wichtigen Beitrag zur fortschreitenden Umorientierung der Theaterwissenschaft von binnenästhetischen Analysen zu einer Kulturwissenschaft, welche den »bodily turn« und den Diskurs um die »neuen Medien« in ihre Fragestellungen aufnimmt.

Qualität und Sicherheit dienen als Projektionsfläche für die unterschiedlichsten Problemstellungen im deutschen Gesundheitssystem. Tragfähige Zielvorstellungen als Basis für die Weiterentwicklung der Qualitätssicherung in Deutschland sind jedoch nicht in Sicht, Glaubwürdigkeit und Vertrauen in Instrumente und Begrifflichkeiten gehen verloren. Wir fahren fort, Menge statt Qualität zu finanzieren, sektorale Abschottung geht über Zusammenarbeit. Bei allen gesetzgeberischen Aktivitäten – ein grundlegender Reformansatz ist bislang nicht erkennbar. Hier setzt Qualität 2030 an und schlägt einen Ordnungsrahmen für das Gesundheitswesen vor, in dem Qualität und Patientensicherheit die steuernden Faktoren sind. Es wird klar formuliert, welche grundlegenden Reformansätze erforderlich sind, welche Interventionen (z.B. Pay for Performance) notwendig sind und wie diese – ohne negative Begleiteffekte – in das System eingeführt werden können. Qualität 2030 steht zudem für einen realistischen Zeitrahmen zur Umsetzung dieses Paradigmenwechsels; das Werk ist Argumentations- und Arbeitsgrundlage für die notwendigen Reformen.This book is made open access as part of the Knowledge Unlatched KU Open Services

The South African UNESCO world heritage site of Mapungubwe Cultural Landscape became the site of a conflict in 2011, when a coal mine was built in close proximity. The area of tension evolved around matters of conservation of culture, socio-economic development, environmental and nature protection, as well as the generation of identity. Following the conflict and its actors, the author shows the valorisation/valuation of Mapungubwe's resources as well as processes of propertisation against the backdrop of the special obstacles after the end of apartheid. Utilising interdisciplinary research approaches and an understanding of resource as a relational assemblage, the author follows the shifting of discourses between conservation of culture and extraction of resources from the local to the international level. She shows that power of interpretation is bound to time, place and actors when it comes to constituting cultural property.Das südafrikanische Mapungubwe Cultural Landscape, seit 2008 UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe, wurde 2011 bis 2014 zu einem Konfliktschauplatz. Durch die Errichtung eines Kohletagebaus in nächster Nähe eröffnete sich ein Spannungsfeld zwischen Kulturerbebewahrung, sozio-ökonomischer Entwicklung, Umwelt- und Naturschutz sowie der Schaffung von Identität. Den Konflikten und ihren Akteur*innen folgend, arbeitet die Autorin die Inwertsetzung der in und um Mapungubwe vorhandenen Ressourcen sowie die Propertisierungsprozesse vor dem Hintergrund der besonderen Herausforderungen nach dem Ende der Apartheid heraus. Dabei versteht sie Ressource als relationale Assemblage. Unter Zuhilfenahme interdisziplinärer Forschungsansätze verfolgt die Autorin den Wechsel der Diskurse zwischen Kulturerbebewahrung und Bodenschatzförderung bis auf die internationale Ebene und zeigt die Zeit-, Orts- und Akteursgebundenheit von Deutungsmacht bei der Konstituierung von kulturellem Erbe auf.

This book is a collection of contributions to a symposium which was organized by the Southeast Europe Association (Südosteuropa-Gesellschaft) on the topic "Women in the Balkans/Southeastern Europe" and held on 3rd and 4th November 2014 in Munich. It reflects on the present situation of women in the Balkans/Southeast Europe which has experienced fundamental changes since the end of the communist/socialist regime and the transition towards a market oriented economy as well as the wars in former Yugoslavia. These fundamental changes and war time experiences have not only implicated disorders in political and social status, but also a backlash in terms of return to patriarchal values as well as to traditional gender relations and hierarchies. A perception of gender roles following traditional patterns and a concept of femininity reducing women to their bodies, open sexism in media, the so called "sex industry" and "women markets" plus the ban of abortion, increased domestic violence and trafficking in women have been combined with neoliberal values, right ideology, neo-patriarchy and the ruling concept of masculinity. On the other hand, women have also used their chance to create their own business, not to forget female subcultures. Women`s participation in decision-making, especially in political parties, and their representation in the public scenery is an important indicator for the degree of their emancipation. Bringing together women engaged on women`s issues in different areas - from the academia, the Non-Governmental Organisations and civil society, and policy makers - is bound to result in a variety of perspectives and views.
