Die aktuelle Schuldenkrise hat abermals gezeigt, daß Abweichungen von vereinbarten Schuldendienstzahlungen und somit Schuldendienstprobleme inhärente Begleiterscheinungen internationaler Kreditbeziehungen sind. Aufbauend auf der Hypothese, daß die Existenz potentieller Schuldendienstprobleme die Kreditwürdigkeit eines Landes und damit die Bedingungen der Auslandskreditaufnahme negativ beeinflußt, liefert die vorliegende Arbeit eine wirtschaftstheoretische Analyse optimaler Wachstums- und Auslandsverschuldungsprozesse. Unter Verwendung ausgewählter Indikatoren potentieller Schuldendienstprobleme als Determinanten des vom Schuldnerland zu zahlenden Kreditzinses wird die Problematik einer optimalen Auslandsverschuldung im Rahmen dynamischer Optimierungsmodelle erörtert. Hierbei zeigt sich insbesondere, dass auch in dezentral organisierten Volkswirtschaften korrigierende Interventionen in den marktwirtschaftlichen Lenkungsmechanismus notwendig werden können, um das volkswirtschaftlich optimale Verhalten individueller Entscheidungsträger herbeizuführen.

In electrodynamics, one of the symmetries is the invariance of the equations under exchange of electric and magnetic quantities. The continuous version of this symmetry is most commonly known as electromagnetic duality symmetry. This concept has been accepted for more than a century, and, throughout this time, has influenced other areas of physics, like high energy physics and gravitation. This Special Issue is devoted to electromagnetic duality symmetry and other vareities of dualities in physics. It contains four Articles, one Review and one Perspective. The context of the contributions ranges from string theory to applied nanophotonics, which, as anticipated, shows that duality symmetries in general and electromagnetic duality symmetry in particular are useful in a wide variety of physics fields, both theoretical and applied. Moreover, a number of the contributions show how the use of symmetry arguments and the quantification of symmetry breaking can successfully guide our theoretical understanding and provide us with guidelines for system design.

Nesses casos, denominados anamorfoses, surgem desconexões, desvios no desenrolar mais comum e esperado para certos gestos instrumentais. A presença humana na situação da performance tende a polarizar as atenções e, portanto, acentuar essas eventuais distorções, uma vez que as anamorfoses atuam no limiar entre relações audiovisuais mais diretas – o que é visto em termos gestuais é coerente com o que é escutado – e relações mais distantes – o que é visto não apresenta conexão imediata com o que é escutado.Na introdução e na primeira parte do livro é apresentado um panorama histórico da música eletroacústica mista, além de conceitos que servirão de base para fundamentar a problemática das anamorfoses e um mapeamento de exemplos considerados representativos desta problemática.Já na segunda parte do livro o autor busca um aprofundamento da questão por meio da análise de duas obras eletroacústicas mistas: Parcours de l’Entité (1994), de Flo Menezes, e Altra voce (1999), de Luciano Berio. The opioid system modulates numerous pharmacological responses, with therapeutic (i.e., analgesia) and detrimental side effects (i.e., addiction). The medical use and misuse of opioids have dramatically increased, leading to the 21st century opioid crisis. This book presents recent developments in opioid drug discovery, specifically in the medicinal chemistry and pharmacology of new ligands targeting the opioid receptors as effective and safe therapeutics for human diseases. Furthermore, it draws a special attention to advancing concepts and strategies in opioid drug discovery to mitigate opioid liabilities. The diversity among the discussed topics is a testimony to the complexity of the opioid system, which results from the expression, regulation, and functional role of ligands and receptors.
