In dieser Arbeit werden adaptive Methoden zur Analyse von Anthropomatikdaten entwickelt. Zielsetzung ist die automatische Erkennung von Systemzuständen mit Hidden-Markov-Modellen. Anwendungsbeispiele sind Bohrgeräusche aus der Wirbelsäulenchirurgie, medizinische Ultraschallbilder und menschliche Bewegungsdaten. Neben dem Vergleich mit anderen Klassifikationsverfahren werden Merkmalsgenerierung, geeignete Modellstrukturen, Optimierung der Zustände und Aspekte der Implementierung besprochen.

Dental implant materials are advancing in the fusion of various scientific fields. Surface modification technologies for implants have been applied to titanium at the micro-level for about four decades. Now, implant surfaces are being topographically and chemically modified at both the micro- and nano-level. The modification techniques are altering other metals and ceramics, making these materials more biocompatible. Materials for abutments in dental implant systems appear to depend on implant–abutment connection structures. Biomechanical factors, such as friction and preload, influence the development of the abutment materials. Additionally, the surfaces of the abutment materials are important in the soft-tissue attachment, which is being actively investigated. As dental implants have to be functional in human bodies for a long time, numerous materials are being clinically tested as implant-supported restorations. The Special Issue, “Dental Implant Materials 2019”, introduces the creative works of scientists on the current advancements in the field of materials for implant dentistry.

Der Band versammelt ein breites Spektrum von Problemfeldern, die allesamt die soziale Verantwortung der Medizin und der in der Heilkunde tätigen Akteure berühren. Behandelt werden - aus historischer, wissenschaftstheoretischer und ethischer Sicht - Themen wie Transsexualität, Homosexualität, Körperidentitätsstörungen, körperliche und geistige Behinderung, Zwangsbehandlung und Hochbegabung. Dabei wird unter anderem untersucht, inwieweit die Medizin über Akzeptanz, Stigmatisierung und Pathologisierung von bestimmten Minderheiten und Personen mit abweichenden Lebensentwürfen mit entscheidet bzw. inwiefern ihr eine Rolle als „Deutungsmacht“ zukommt. Die vorliegende Betrachtung aus Sicht des UWG zeigt auf, welche Maßnahmen der Suchmaschinenoptimierung (SEO) wettbewerbsrechtlich zulässig oder unzulässig sind.Die Untersuchung widmet sich zunächst einer Darstellung der SEO, sowie der Einordnung derselben im Hinblick auf das UWG und zeigt grundsätzliche Probleme einer lauterkeitsrechtlichen Betrachtung von SEO auf.Anschließend subsumiert der Verfasser vielfältige Fallkonstellationen der SEO unter Tatbestände des UWG. Es folgt eine Auseinandersetzung mit der bisherigen Rechtsprechung zum UWG und SEO.Die Arbeit liefert konkrete Anweisungen für die lauterkeitsrechtliche Rechtsanwendung, die sich mit Fällen der SEO konfrontiert sieht.

Archaeology---Open source---Software---archeologica(DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.5334/bae)Nel pomeriggio dell’8 maggio 2006, a conclusione della prima edizione del workshop "Open source, free software e open format nei processi di ricerca archeologici", proponemmo di ripetere la fruttuosa esperienza appena conclusa a Grosseto. Come gruppo IOSA, facente capo all’Istituto Internazionale di Studi Liguri, avevamo preliminarmente ottenuto la disponibilità da parte della sezione di Genova (di cui era allora presidente il prof. Tiziano Mannoni) a ospitare una seconda edizione dell’incontro. Il workshop del 2007 doveva costituire (e ha costituito) una prosecuzione delle discussioni avviate nel 2006 sull'uso e sviluppo di software libero e open source in tutti gli ambiti dell'archeologia, a cui sono dedicati la maggior parte degli interventi qui pubblicati. A Genova, inoltre, per la prima volta nella storia di questi incontri, fu avviato un dibattito sulle modalità di accesso e disseminazione dei dati archeologici all'interno della comunità scientifica, che si è rivelato centrale negli anni successivi.

The advent of additive manufacturing (AM) processes applied to the fabrication of structural components creates the need for design methodologies supporting structural optimization approaches that take into account the specific characteristics of the process. While AM processes enable unprecedented geometrical design freedom, which can result in significant reductions of component weight, on the other hand they have implications in the fatigue and fracture strength due to residual stresses and microstructural features. This is linked to stress concentration effects and anisotropy that still warrant further research. This Special Issue of Applied Sciences brings together papers investigating the features of AM processes relevant to the mechanical behavior of AM structural components, particularly, but not exclusively, from the viewpoints of fatigue and fracture behavior. Although the focus of the issue is on AM problems related to fatigue and fracture, articles dealing with other manufacturing processes with related problems are also be included.
