Rectum prolapse is a medical disease in which the rectum moves down from its usual position and sticks out through the anal orifice. This disorder may be mild or severe. In internal prolapse, just the inner lining of the rectum comes down. In full-thickness prolapse, the whole rectal wall comes out of the body.
