Malembe Rise: How an International NGO Reignited Engagement by Finding Its True Voice Challenge A respected international NGO with a powerful mission but a message that failed to connect. Their academic tone and outdated name, Giving Back to Africa, weren’t inspiring donors or motivating their board. The organization’s brand unintentionally reinforced perceptions that distracted from its true work, empowering students in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
