What happens when these options are not available? Students will learn the basics of what it takes to get home from wherever you are in an emergency, with emphasis on overland/woodland travel, and what you need to start doing now in order to prepare. We will look at an overview of the tools of survival and how to use them, carry them and make sure they stay in your vehicle or on your person. We will cover the following items: Basic map reading and navigation with or without a compass Keeping your core body temperature at 98 (shelter, fire, shade, water) Basic medical and trauma treatment Overview of a Get-Home-Bag (aka bug-out bag) Woodland survival basics including fire building Getting home on Foot A mini pocket survival kit is included in the cost of the course fee. Kennedy: An in Depth Analysis This course will exam the discrepancies between the Warren Commission, that investigated the assassination for ten months and published their findings in September 1964; along with the conclusions reached by the United States House of Representatives that investigated the assassination for thirty-one months and published their report in March 1979. The participants will develop a rounded perspective regarding many of the controversies surrounding the assassination of President Kennedy.
