Registration has opened for the Fetish Australia Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade float 2020... Welcome to the Fetish Australia float! This year our community’s entry will be facilitated by Australian Mr BootBlack 2019 - Alex Summer, The Pride of the Hide 2019 - Thomas Seggie, Ms Sydney Leather 2015/16 – Bee Beehop , Mr Qld Leather 2019 - Christopher Dadson , Qld Leather Boy 2019 - Shane Stevens, Mr Adel aide Leather 201 9 - Zac Cannell, Ms Adelaide Leather 201 9 - Alexis Clark, Laird Leatherman 2019 - Jay Fox, Ms Adelaide Leather 2018 - Jody Anderson, Laird Leatherman 2018 - Kevan Walsh. Leather, Rubber, Pup/Handler, fetish folks and clubs are invited and welcomed to join and represent. The Theme for 2020’s float is “ Kink4Life ” - a moment against the censorship of kink, sex and dominant/submissive lifestyles. Dress code: All participants to wear suitable fetish attire: Leather, Rubber, Unifor m, Corsets or other Fetish attire. No Effort, No Entry for the float. Be prepared to cover exposed buttocks etc if directed. This is a public televised event, breaching the 'decency' rule can jeopardise our entire parade entry. Participants are encouraged to wear vests, patches, sashes from the clubs they represent. Props will be supplied, including leather pride flags, rubber pride flags, banners. If you have props you’d like to use, please contact one of the organising team to discuss. On the Day: All pa rticipants will be required to walk the duration of the parade route. Those with physical disabilities may prefer to have a reserved viewing space along the Parade Route in a specially arranged section. The parade route is approx. 2.4kms and about 1.5 hour s, plus standing waiting time (hours) depending on our mustering position. Personal bags are to be carried during the parade, there will be no room on the vehicle for bags due to safety requirements ). The Wait in Lockdown: The Parade Marshalling Area (the start) is usually locked down 6 - 7pm, with ALL participants in the area by 5pm. Entry after this time may mean you are unable to march with the float. We will be mustered and waiting until our scheduled marching time to join the parade, generally around 9p m. Some food trucks are operating in the muster area, feel free to bring water and snacks (alcohol & glass is not permitted). Weather: In recent years weather has ranged from mid 30s and sunny to torrential cold downpours. Try to come prepared (sun block/ rain poncho). Meeting Place: All accepted entrants will be advised of the meeting time and place via email, before the day. Failure to arrive at the Marshalling area before lockdown may mean no entry, please ensure you arrive ahead of time to not miss ou t. Follow directions: All participants will be required to follow directions from the Float Coordinators, Float Marshalls, Parade Marshalls and Emergency Personnel. NSW Police have advised: NO Glass, NO Alcohol, NO Drugs, NO Weapons and NO Animals! Fame : Please be aware that as this is a public event, your photograph may appear in print, on - line or social media, without your prior knowledge. Participation in the parade constitutes complete agreement to the public use of any images taken on the day. Ticket prices for the float will be announced in early February. Additional donations towards the cost of the float will be gratefully accepted.
