The 35th issue of Ovi Thematic eMagazine theme, Justice vs. Judicature, was born from a concern that has become increasingly difficult to ignore, the growing distance between the idea of justice and the institutions created to protect it. The intention was not to attack the law, nor to question the necessity of courts, judges or legal systems. Quite the opposite. The purpose was to examine what happens when one of democracy’s most essential foundations begins to show signs of weakness.
