Type "I certify" "I certify" Resume Addendum: I have 42 years of nursing experience and am looking forward to many more years. I worked the ED, CCU and on our local ambulance service for the experience in Michigan before moving to Alaska in 1989. Worked Bartlett Regional Hospital for 5 years in the ED, CCU, Med-Surg, and OB. I love the different experiences you obtain from working in rural communities. I have been with SEARHC since they took over our local clinic in 1998. I worked for Lynn Canal Medical which was private from 1994- 1998 and I am still here. I am nursing coordinator/nurse case manager and love my job and am learning all sorts of new things. I have seen a lot of changes in the last 42 years and love to share my knowledge and experiences with others. I love to teach and be taught as feel each day I can learn something new to better myself. In 2016 I was diagnosed with leukemia and underwent 6 months of invasive immunochemotherapy and could not work for 8 months. My employer created a job for me to do so that I could begin working again and once my blood counts were more toward normal I was able to go back to patient care. I have found another love doing case management and am able to really help my fellow team members by doing most of the "behind" the scene things. That is why I am starting a home study course to learn and know I can't be certified as a case manager I can still learn and challenge myself. I may have taken life for granted until my illness and now I love each day and want to be able to share all my knowledge with anyone. I would be honored to be part of the Alaska State Board of Nursing. Press Release Wording Submitted: 2/15/2021 2:02:46 PM
