S T O R Y Dirtbag Pauly0x, also known as Jeremy Cahen (who self-doxed), began promoting his new project weeks before its release, providing absolutely no context. Instead, he seemed more focused on generating engagement and acted as if he were above those engaging with him in the comments and spaces. As a result, many people eagerly anticipated the release, staying awake for days in anticipation. When the project finally dropped, all they got was a website link and a contract address, once again, with no explanation whatsoever. Now, let's address a common practice in Now, let s address a common practice in the crypto world – many of us tend to stick to what we know and trust. When we saw this new token, we instinctively went to Uniswap to input the contract address, just as we would with any other token. However, in our haste, we clicked the "swap anyway" button, which is an indicator of a price impact where you are likely to experience a significant loss. Is this greed or simply not paying attention? He accused us of greed for not paying closer attention. But here's where the story takes a darker turn. The contract was riddled with vulnerabilities, essentially inviting hackers to steal our hard-earned tokens and offload them. And, of course, they did just that. The question that arises here is whether this debacle is entirely Pauly0x's fault, or do we share some of the responsibility? Is he a scammer, or was he simply morally wrong? All Pauly0x seemed to do was kick back and laugh at our misfortune. He showed no remorse, claiming he was teaching us a lesson. Days passed with no word on what would transpire next. Finally, there was a chance to reclaim our losses on his website, but this offer only extended to those who had initially purchased from his website. If you bought through Uniswap, your funds were gone forever. Pauly0x, once again, gone forever. Pauly0x, once again, insisted that we "had it coming". In our opinion, this situation is open to interpretation. We all bear a degree of responsibility for our investments, especially in the volatile world of crypto. Yet, there are those who believe that Pauly0x deliberately misled and scammed people, or at the very least, acted in a morally reprehensible manner. Throughout the turmoil, Pauly0x continued to revel in our misfortune, displaying a complete lack of concern for those who had lost money by using Uniswap. Here's where a significant issue arises. Pauly0x could have taken steps to prevent this catastrophe. He could have explicitly advised against using Uniswap in his initial post, or he could have promptly issued a warning on Twitter or other platforms. At the very least, he could have apologized for the "mistake." Instead, he chose to do none of these, opting instead to mock those who essentially lost their investments. Frankly, it's difficult to comprehend how someone could treat others in this manner. One can only imagine how he would react if faced with a fraction of these individuals in person. contact@thepondtoken.com | © 2023 All Rights Reserved.
