CЂϿІЍϿϻ HϿЈЌГ Seattle , WA 98122 chenry@seattleu.edu May 27, 2021 The Reef - Seattle RE: Budtending Position Dear Hiring Manager, As a former employee of the cannabis industry in one of the most fast-paced recreational states in the country, I am eager to continue my work in this industry even though I've moved to Seattle, WA from Las Vegas, NV. I am here to attend Seattle University's School of Law, thanks to a generous scholarship and my own passion for public policy. At the moment, I just finished my tenure as an accomplished guest consultant/budtender at a high-volume dispensary in the Las Vegas Metropolitan area. I love budtending, I love cannabis, and am hoping that I can find even more rewarding work in the cannabis industry here in Seattle. I believe I would make an excellent addition to your team. I have an extensive knowledge of cannabis and cannabis products. I have included my resume, which details the amount of experience I have in using, selling, and advertising a wide variety of products. This includes vape pens (inlcuding unique vaping systems such as Pax and AiroPro), concentrates, flower, tinctures, CBD/CBN/CBG, and more. Nevada's cannabis industry is cutting edge, and I feel my level of knowledge about terpenes, cultivation techniques, and distillation methods make me an incredibly valuable candidate and have made me a formidable budtender. I am genuinely passionate about cannabis. I love smoking, dabbing, and most of all passing on my knowledge and passion to others through my role as a budtender. On top of that, I have a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Political Science and Government. One of my areas of extensive research is State Law, which gives me a more intimate and nuanced understanding of cannabis' legality across a variety of states. It has also helped me soothe the worries of newer canabis users, who are wary of the complex nature of state-level cannabis legalization, both recreational and medical. My passion for law and public policy is not at odds with my passion for the cannabis industry, especially as state-level legalization spreads further and further. As my resume indicates, I offer the customer service, communication skills, and extensive knowledge of cannabis required of successful budtenders. As such, I am eager to discuss the possibility of joining the team at The Reef as a part-time budtender. Because I am a law student, it is important for me to emphasize that I am looking to work part-time only . Despite the fact I am only able to work two days (20 hours maximum) a week, I have full availability during peak hours of the weekend: Friday and Saturday . While I wish I as able to put in more time at work, as I genuinely enjoy budtending, I will be in school during the week. Law schools request that students have enough time to do the intensive coursework necessary for the completion of a law degree. I also cannot work closing shifts, as late closing impacts my abilities as a student. I feel saddened that my hours are limited, but I am confident I am a worthy addition to any dispensary despite that. I look forward to potentially hearing back from you, and if you require any further recommendations or references, please do not hesitate to contact me.
