C. 12% of subjects had a lucid dream. Conclusion : The results indicate that using bananas and banana peels (BHILD) can increase the incidence of lucid dreaming, but using banana peels alone is not sufficient to induce lucid dreaming. The combination of banana peels and other lucid dream techniques was found to be the most effective in inducing lucid dreams. This leads to an "REM rebound," which means extra-long REM cycles during the second half of the night. Since most lucid dreams occur during REM sleep, this makes having a lucid dream much easier due to the increased time spent in REM. Vivid dreams are a common effect of 5-HTP. Increased serotonin levels often cause dreams that are wackier than usual, so don’t be too shocked by your dream content after practicing BHILD. If you have trained your mind to distinguish between dreams and reality, unusual dreams can aid in achieving lucidity. If you observe that your dream is more peculiar than usual, you are more likely to identify it as a dream due to the effect of 5-HTP and all other nutrients.
