Other than the wider hull and a reduced daft, the two Seahunters are identical in specification on how ever air transportation of the Mark II model is restricted to C 17 aircraft or larger due to the increased beam. SEAFURY SURFACE DRIVE While all Seahunter Patrol Boats can be powered by conventional or water jet propulsion systems to achieve maximum efficiency the standard recommended system is Seafury Surface Drives which achieve significantly higher speeds with the same engine horse power compared to Conventional Propellers & Water Jets in the higher speed ranges SEAHUNTER ATTRIBUTES Seafury Surface Drives eliminate the drag co - efficient of conventional sys - tems making them 10 - 20% more efficient in the higher speed ranges of 25 knots plus which with 45 ° transom significantly improves vessel handling and safety. No hydraulic steering or articulated drive system is exposed to the harsh marine environment both reducing and making maintenance easier. The advanced propeller design and graduating pitch zones ensure that the propeller is appropriately loaded throughout the speed range negating the need for a trimable drive. The design of the Seafury system protects the propeller from damage and protects people from the propellers. CREW WELFARE Long transits at high speeds in rough seas produce repetitive impacts up to 10g which resulted in chronic fatigue, orthopedic injuries and back problems. A fatigued crew or combatants can spell disaster to the success of a mission. Shockwave crew seats installed on Seahunter Patrol Boats provide the maximum in shock miti gation solutions for mil itary , enforcement an d commercial marine applications. A computer controls the dampener adjusting the shock Absorber thousands of times per second to provide the optimum shock and vibration attenuation.
