Our mission is to leverage the depth of our elite network and expertise to transform the industrial landscape of Ibadanland and influence public policy for the greater good of our people, city, and state. Our membership is the largest concentration of highly educated Ibadan sons: reputable businessmen, entrepreneurs, senior executives, and professionals across various sectors of the Nigerian economy and the diaspora. For us, giving back to society is not just a goal - it is the core of our identity and everything we do. Our Legacy: Over Two Decades of Impact The Club was founded over two decades ago, born from the pioneering efforts and vision of Chief Adeyemi Soladoye (Ekerin Baameto of Ibadanland) , our founding president, and other committed foundation members. Over the years, the club has grown into a significant force, continually attracting seasoned professionals, technocrats, accomplished businessmen, and administrators. Beyond fostering business and social networking among members, JBC fulfills its mandate through the successful execution of impactful developmental and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects across Ibadanland Key Developmental and CSR Initiatives Our commitment to Ibadanland is demonstrated through flagship projects in education, health, and economic empowerment: Education and Human Capital Development: Establishment of a Scholarship Trust Fund and the award of scholarships to brilliant but indigent Ibadan scholars. We have also donated computers and established the JBC Computer Centre. Health and Wellness: Rehabilitation and upgrade of healthcare and maternity centers across the Ibadan metropolis. Community Infrastructure: Sinking of motorized water boreholes at various locations within the city to ensure access to clean water. Economic Empowerment: Establishment of empowerment programs for artisans and small-scale business owners. The Scholarship Scheme: Investing in Human Capital The Club awards annual scholarships to brilliant but indigent Ibadan scholars enrolled in various higher institutions across Nigeria. Our scheme is a powerful commitment to cultivating strong and virile human capital, creating a generation of indigenes dedicated to paying it forward, not just to Ibadanland, but also to humanity at large. Our alumni scholars have graduated in critical fields, including Medicine & Surgery, Engineering, Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine, Agriculture, Education, Pure & Applied Sciences, and the Humanities. Empowerment of Artisans and Small-Scale Businesses Through our robust Micro-Credit Scheme, we have provided crucial financial assistance, totaling over N305.6 million, to 3,338 beneficiaries and counting. This scheme is professionally managed in partnership with Seedvest Microfinance Bank Limited. The support is primarily directed at small-scale business owners, with a focus on empowering women in areas like trading, fashion design, farming, food vending, and various artisanal crafts. Healthcare Intervention Our interventions have significantly benefited local Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs). We improve health outcomes by providing essential infrastructure, including motorized boreholes for water supply, generators for reliable power, renovation of dilapidated structures, and the provision of beddings and vital medical supplies to institutions such as Oke-Aremo Hospital, Ibadan. Oniyanrin Comprehensive Health Centre. Primary Health Centre, Isale Osi. Primary Health Centre, Iyana Court, Ile-Tuntun. Water for Life Project As a cornerstone of our social responsibility, the "Water for Life Project" constructs motorised boreholes across all eleven local government areas in Ibadan. This initiative is designed to provide access to clean, fresh water, combat waterborne diseases, and is strategically focused on schools and their immediate communities. Beneficiary secondary schools that have received commissioned boreholes include: Community High School, Lagudu, Akala Expressway, Apata. Liberty Academy, Odo-Ona, Elewe. Orogun Grammar School, Orogun. Community Secondary School, Olaogun, Old Ife Road. Community High School, Sawia, Ogbere Road. Ibadan Christ Apostolic Grammar School 2 Aperin. Grammar School Ogegegun. Oke Bola Comprehensive High School Oke Bola. Olopomewa Community Grammar School in addition to those listed, numerous other schools and communities have benefited from our schemes across the administrations of various past executives.
