IDEA CLARITY SPRINT How to Find, Validate & Commit to the Right Startup Idea in 72 Hours By Entrepreneurs Sanctuary www.linkedin.com/in/rishabhkumartaneja Introduction: Why This eBook Exists Most aspiring founders don’t fail because they lack hustle, talent, or vision. They fail because they start building the wrong idea — or worse, they never start at all. As a mentor who has worked with hundreds of first-time founders, I’ve seen the same bottleneck again and again: “I have too many ideas.” “I’m scared I’ll pick the wrong one.” “I don’t know how to test if it’ll work.” That’s why I created the Idea Clarity Sprint — a 3-day intensive framework designed to help you: ● Cut through the noise ● Pick the right idea to pursue ● Validate it with real-world signals ● And start building with confidence Let’s get to work. DAY 1: THE IDEA FILTER FRAMEWORK Goal: Identify 3 promising startup ideas and narrow down to 1 that’s worth testing Step 1: Idea Dump Take 15 minutes and list every startup idea you’ve considered. Don’t censor yourself — just write. Step 2: Score Your Ideas Use the Idea Filter Matrix below: Criteria Score (1-5) Am I deeply interested in this problem? Do I understand this market personally? Is this a painful, frequent, expensive problem? Can I reach these users easily? Is anyone already paying to solve this? Could I build or test this in 30 days? Total each idea. Anything scoring 25+ is a strong candidate. Action: Circle the top 1–2 ideas and move them to Day 2. DAY 2: VALIDATE BEFORE YOU BUILD Goal: Test whether your idea solves a real problem before you waste time or money. Step 1: Write Your Hypothesis Use this template: I believe [persona] has a painful problem with [issue], and they’re actively trying to solve it. Example: I believe working moms in Tier-1 cities struggle to find flexible childcare, and they’re paying for tutors, nannies, or leaving jobs to compensate. Step 2: Talk to 5 Real People Don’t skip this. Use this mini-script to guide conversations: ● “What’s the biggest frustration in [area]?” ● “Have you tried to solve it before?” ● “How much is it costing you (time, money, energy)?” ● “What have you already tried?” ● “Would a [describe solution] be helpful?” Write down exact words. Look for emotion + urgency + current spend. Red Flags: ● “Sounds interesting...” = false yes ● “Maybe I’d use it...” = vague curiosity You want: “Where can I get this?” or “Yes, I’d pay for that.” DAY 3: DECIDE & COMMIT TO THE NEXT STEP Goal: Decide with confidence, backed by user signal, not guesswork. Decision Tree: Use this logic chart: ✅ Got strong feedback + clear pain → Move to prototype/test funnel ❌ No signal / vague feedback → Reframe problem or test another idea ❓ Mixed signals → Adjust your framing or niche and retest 3 more users Pro Tip: Don’t Build Yet Instead, sketch out a Lean MVP or create a 1-page landing page with a clear value prop and CTA. Use a tool like Carrd or Notion to test clicks, signups, or demo requests. Final Thoughts: Action Over Perfection The biggest risk isn’t choosing the wrong idea — it’s not choosing at all.
