Reaching out to . . . IG INFLUENCERS By Evert Calderon Introduction Many of you may know me from the DropShip Legacy Facebook Group , I recently posted a picture of my results simply by using IG Influencers to drive traffic to my store and have $200+ day! Not bad for having a recently brand new store, this week I have brought in over $500+ simply by utilizing IG Influencers. This was my first week ever using Influencers and I am beyond glad that I did! It only goes up from here and I am looking forward to the growth in my shopify store! Many were asking me questions and reaching out to me, so I figured it would be a lot easier if I made a quick guide to answer a lot of the same questions! I first jumped into shopify not really knowing anything and running some FB ads. (Best $47 ever spent, made it back in less than 24 hours) My name is Evert Calderon and I am a 20 year old aspiring entrepreneur just trying to make a positive change! I just wanted to make this quick guide to help others in the right direction and answer the same questions I had. Just being the person I wish I had during my time of need! 1 Affiliates vs. IG Influencers Both of these are great and will play a vital role in your shopify growth and your revenue. However you must know the difference and when to go with one. First I’ll break down the difference since I see some have a confusion on this. Affiliates - These people who become affiliates will get a commision percentage from each sale they make. Whether it maybe 10% -20%, best affiliates are people anywhere from 2k + following on IG. (97% of my traffic comes from Instagram, so this is mostly all Instagram talk.) Now these people are great because people already have a relationship with them, they follow for a specific reason and these people are credible. Which makes it easy to acquire sales through these people. Downside is many want free items before they post. I personally shy away from sending free items because I don’t have that type of capital. So I just tell them I will pay them the 20%. I have got about $100 in total sales through affiliates. Influencer - Are accounts or people who have a high following in what most of the time is a specific niche. These people have leverage on us because they have an influence on an audience that we may want to approach. For example if we are selling a soccer product instead of looking for a gym page on IG we will look for a soccer page. (My product is not in this niche, keeping it a secret till I make more off it). Let’s say we find this soccer page with 5k, 20k, 80k, 150k, 300k, 500k, 1M. There is no specific guide line as to what accounts should charge remember that. The difference between these two is that an affiliate is a trusted individual for their following and they earn commision based off of sales. An influencer has an influence in a niche and charges you a rate to promote on their account. 2 Reaching Out This is the part that many are having a difficult time and are not sure how to go about this. In simplest terms I will be explaining this method and how simple it can be and hopefully by time you go through this you can setup an AD through an influencer! Now you have found the soccer account you want to post on, you are looking at three of them, 20k, 125k, and a 350k. Now before you get carried away you need to ask these accounts what their insights are. Reason being is many people can buy followers to fake their audience but the engagement will show that. I have known numerous people who buy a promo from the big account get no sales, and others who buy from a small account and make tons of sales. Check an accounts credibility on SocialBlade.com THIS IS WHAT YOU SHOULD BE ASKING ACCOUNTS FOR!! Remember to ask for their time zone as it will be different from yours. For example his 9PM was 830AM for me. Best way to reach out to these accounts is emailing them or Direct messaging them. If they don’t respond bug them!! Get their attention somehow! By spamming in a good way of course lol! 3 Negotiating Every one’s favorite thing, price! So to make things clear there is no set rules or guidelines on to what each account will charge you. Just because an account has 170k and one has 500k doesn’t mean the 170k can’t charge you more than the 500k. It all depends on engagement which is why you must do your due diligence and found out their insights! I have known of a 450k charging $350 for a 24 hour shoutout. Negotiate terms, rates, and long term deals. If you do not have the budget be honest with them! Most of them will work something out for you! DO NOT BE SCARED TO THROW COUNTER OFFERS AND NEGOTIATE TO TRY AND GET A DEAL THAT WORKS FOR BOTH OF YOU! The reason many hold back is because they believe there is a guideline for pricing as far as shoutouts go, just do your research and negotiate terms. I started the week with $30 in a marketing budget I have then made those $30 into $600 in sales. I took my $30 and reinvested back into my business this is a key that many people miss. Talk to multiple accounts and then compare the two against each other so you are able to get a better deal. It is the simple art of negotiating, simply get out there and starting doing it! Don’t make an excuse, rather make results! 4 Proven Scripts I will be providing you guys, with proven scripts that have helped me negotiate better deals with accounts and have lead to me have long term relationship. Treat these IG Influencers as a gold mine, because once you find one. Both of you will be making a lot of money. Reach out to these pages with this copy and paste advertisement inquiry: “Advertisement Inquiry Hello! I am interested in perhaps advertising on your page. If you allow advertising, send me your rates and I would be happy to work a deal with you.” When reaching out to Instagram pages, you will ask them for their rates, prime time (best time to advertise), how much for a link in the bio, and what kind of audience they have. These instagram influencers will get you accurate statistics for efficient Facebook ads. Instagram shoutouts will get us immediate, targeted traffic to our site. After they respond send them this: “Awesome! Thank you for this. I want to ask if you are open to negotiating as I am looking to build a long term business relationship.” Most of them will agree for a discount after the first purchase, so remember nothing every happens right on the spot. This is how I am able to use IG Influencers to drive traffic to my store and have days higher than $100.
