Raising funds and awareness of our beneficiary Period: Semester 2 Grant-A-Wish Fulfilling our beneficiaries' wishes Period: Semester 1 Project WAO Raise awareness for migrant workers Period: Semester 2 EXPLOR A TORY PROGR A MMES ( EP ) E xplor a tory P rogr a mm e s Project IMH Weekly sessions with patients from Institute of Mental Health Frequency: weekdays 3-5pm, once a week Commitment: Full year, minimum 40h SGSS Study Buddy Tutoring programme with secondary school students in need of academic support Frequency: once a week, 2h per session Commitment: 6 weeks (2-3 cycles throughout the AY) ASPIRE Tutoring programme with at risk youth from Methodist Welfare Services and Singapore Boys' Hostel Frequency: Once a week, 1hr Commitment: Mar/Jun - Oct (depending on partner organisation) Sparkseed An annual ideathon which serves to improve existing community service programmes and make them more meaningful for beneficiaries the club serves. Commitment: ~6 months Exploratory Programmes are the exploratory arm of the club wherein we have adhoc projects which allow members to plan and take part in purposeful events for different beneficiaries. Exploratory Programmes also have long running programmes which serve to provide beneficiaries with more everlasting relationships with volunteers. LEND A HELPING H A ND LEAP Projects A scheme introduced to allow volunteers to propose their own adhoc projects with guidance and funding provided by the club. Commitment: ~7 months AY20/21 Projects: Project Safe Space (befriending beneficiaries with psychiatric conditions and raising awareness amongst youth) and Project Savvy (equipping elderly with digital literacy skills)
