ENDGAME BEGINNER EQUIPMENT Permanovice's Endgame Grinding Gear (Or as I like to call it, Perma's Flex List) Total Stat Boosts: (Full DPS Gear Without The Weapons) STR: 608+72 WDEF: 208 WA: 24 Weapons Breakdown DEX: 4+88 MDEF: 252 MAXHP: 4998 INT: 4+42 SPD: 140% ACC: 148 LUK: 4+39 JMP: 123% AVD: 73 *All values below for Range and DPH are based on Permanovice's gear at lv 120 THE BEGINNER ENDGAME WEAPONS (THE 5 INFINITY STONES) Fan and Maple Shield *It's important to note that while I say "Maple Shield", one can get and should start with a normal Stolen Fence, Pan Lid or Palette. This is fine and affordable, but Maple shields often outperform. Total Stats: 123WA Fan+Shield STR: 689 WDEF: 223 WA: 147 DEX: 92 MDEF: 263 MAXHP: 5105 INT: 46 SPD: 140% ACC: 155 LUK: 57 JMP: 123% AVD: 80 Highest Recorded Cider DPH: 15,323,760 LV120 Maximised RANGE: Base Ciders Apples Apples+MW20 499~4186 567~4756 839~7034 901~7715 Crucial Gear for Beginners These are absolute necessities in a Beginner's collection. They contribute so much throughout early game to late game, and they're permanent, making them irreplaceable. • Elin Savior's Ring adds a nice +100HP at early game, which is crucial at that point, and remains relevant into endgame. • A scrolled Zakum Helmet is the very least a STRGinner should have. One might consider a Scarlion or Ravana Helm depending on other equips. • The Tier 10 Ring, I would say is an absolute necessity at endgame for that PHAT HP boost and amazing allstat +10 Boost. Almost nothing in your collection will compare. • A 5 WA 300HP+ Mark of Naricain is a crucial step to adding damage and enabling endgame content for a Beginner. One might make do with a 4WA MoN, but ideally, at absolute peak Beginner Endgame, one should aim for a CS'ed 10WA MoN. Pros: Cons: • Faster (3) Speed • Gacha Locked • High Damage Stability • Event Locked (Maple Shield) • Crazy DPS • Extremely Expensive • +100HP • Low Max Range • Scales amazingly with apples • Short Reach • Works amazing on some bosses • Not Ideal for many bosses • Godly shields make this untouchable • High Pot Burn • Best gear for maximising endgame XP • Extremely difficult to compete with It is at this point that I want to clarify a few things with respect to the weapons you will see below. If we are talking absolute perfect gear, I believe the fan and shield is absolutely unbeatable. The reason why I think this is because I look at the endgame options that we have, and the best 3 to pick are the Japanese Map, Purple Surfboard and the Fan and Shield. Provided you take away access to a good shield, then the Purple Surfboard will remain supreme, but if you include the possibility of getting a perfect shield (which is nearly impossible), we will see the following results: 1) Perfected Fan and Shield - 110HP 118WA + 30WA 20STR = 110HP 148WA 20STR 2) Perfected Purple Surfboard - 139WA 21STR 3) Perfected Japanese Map - 108WA 24STR 3DEX 4) Perfected Crimson Arcglaive - 24STR 142WA 5) Perfected Toy of 101 - 132WA 25STR 4DEX This is just my assumption but at perfect gear, I assume weapon speed dominates. Having a faster (3) 148WA 20STR weapon blows every other weapon out of the water. I just don't think you can beat it. Therefore, when I talk about pros and cons, I'm talking about comparable endgame gear that's not perfect, but generally godly. Additional WA and Damage Sources • Whilst most Beginners start out with DEX robes, it is imperative at later stages to move on to a strong STR robe. This is because you can get more than enough Accuracy or DEX from other equips later on to 100% hit all of your mobs or bosses. Ideally, one would be aiming for above 23STR, with an absolute peak endgame robe reaching 27-30STR. • WA Gloves are a crucial resource for all Melee classes. I would certainly say to aim for a 14WA glove at some point, however at absolute peak, one might be seeking between 16-18WA, although 14-15WA is nothing to scoff at at all. This is irreplaceable. However, endgame content does not necessarily require bonkers gear to play at, I would suggest economically speaking, to aim between 11-13WA if you just simply do not have the funds to afford a 14WA. • WA Capes are the most expensive item amongst this trio of DPS Gear. A 5WA cape, whilst workable for endgame, is a far cry from what I think should be aimed at, which is a CS'ed 10WA cape, with CS'ed values of STR and/or DEX. It would be incredibly difficult to get a good cape of this calibre. Alternative options are a Crimsonheart Cloak scrolled for STR, or an unCS'ed WA Cape for STR and/or DEX. • If you get to LV.150, first off, Damn, Congrats, but Get the Facestompers, and CS it. Ideal Maps: Kid Mannequins and GS2 Crimson Arcglaive Total Stats: 128WA Crimson Arcglaive STR: 688 WDEF: 212 WA: 152 DEX: 85 MDEF: 281 MAXHP: 4721 INT: 39 SPD: 140% ACC: 139 LUK: 36 JMP: 123% AVD: 68 Highest Recorded Cider DPH: Additional DEX and Accuracy Sources Accuracy gear, fundamentally speaking, is a practice of "take only as much as you need". In my humble opinion, the accuracy one only really needs is 141-146 to solo bosses with only need for using Sniper Pills as well as doing endgame training. But one can opt for less and use ACC pots. Of course, the Crimson Arcglaive requires 80DEX. • 10-14 DEX Silver Strap Shoes, Violet Snowshoes or Yellow Snowshoes, Navy Christmas Sock, Fonla's Slippers or Slime Shoes, are great shoes for endgame. • Spectrum Goggles for DEX and Accuracy, but also ACC White Raccoon Masks, HP Masks and CS'ed Broken Glasses are great too. • Sad Mask Scrolled with Avoid or HP, depending on the state of your other gear. Absolute Peak would be 150HP Sad Mask or 9-11DEX Sad Mask. • 12-14DEX Earrings, Glittering Altaire, Gold Emerald or Element Pierce. LV120 Maximised RANGE: Base Ciders Apples Apples+MW20 X X X X Pros: Cons: • Extremely High Max Range • Tends to Overkill and waste Kills Per Min • Long Reach • Doesn't kill fast enough at times • Decent Weapon Speed • Damage impacted by Stab multiplier • Great for Bossing • High DEX Requirement • Reach + Damage is maximised here • Difficult to justify using over PSB • Good at most endgame maps • Can be relatively expensive for unfunded • Improves Mobility Ideal Maps: Fancy Amplifiers and Voodoos • Noam Purple Surfboard Additional HP Sources In addition to HP Rings, Event Gear, one should aim to have HP gear that does not impede on DPS, should they choose to MinMax and get insane damage along with insane survivability. • Washing is key, and had I the chance to replay Perma (hell no), I would start with at least 80 base INT to 120 base INT, and borrow as much INT gear as I possibly could. If a Grindginner so wishes to surpass what Permanovice can do, you are looking to be able to participate and fight in Horntail, something Permanovice probably won't ever be able to do. You need >7.2k HP to make this work. • Pet gear is absolutely crucial. I would say "good" pet gear provides upwards of 200HP, "great" pet gear provides upwards of 350HP, and "POG" pet gear provides upwards of 500HP, and any more than 650HP is absolute peak. Good luck wasting millions of NX to make that work though. • Where necessary, scroll separate non-DPS gear for HP. You can in theory attain nearly +1000 extra HP just by maximising HP gear alone. This includes Gloves, Capes, Hats, Tops, Bottoms, Weapons, Shields, Face and Eye. Total Stats: 120WA Purple Surfboard STR: 689 WDEF: 209 WA: 144 DEX: 92 MDEF: 281 MAXHP: 4998 INT: 46 SPD: 140% ACC: 148 LUK: 43 JMP: 123% AVD: 73 Highest Recorded Cider DPH: 13,808,400 LV120 Maximised RANGE: Base Ciders Apples Apples+MW20 X X X X Pros: Cons: • High Max Range • Extremely Expensive • Fast (5) Speed, pairs well with damage • Damage impacted by Stab multiplier • Long Reach • Event Locked • Basically amazing everywhere Ideal Maps: Fancy Amplifiers and Cheap Amplifiers • Possible to outdo Fan+Shield • Improves Mobility Additional Mobility Sources Mobility, whilst not exactly an undervalued resource, is one that is often taken for granted. Speed is King. The faster you are, the faster you get to where you need to be, the faster you generate XP. Every Beginner at endgame will easily be able to get 140% SPD, Jump isn't exactly necessary but it does help in certain situations. • Violet Snowshoes scrolled for Jump and has base Speed (gives DEX as well) is an excellent way to maximise your stats and mobility. • Pet Gear will easily take you to the 140% mark provided you have three pets even if you have no other real SPD gear aside from a robe and MoN. • Mounts Rock. That's all that needs to be said. They also have bugtech using mount cancels. (Just demount before you get to a mob, and during the demount animation, spam attack. 2 attacks will come out). This also impacts XP gain. Whilst I personally sit on the side of not liking using Event Gear because it's temporary, I cannot deny its overwhelming strengths. • Red Christmas Socks give 2WA, that's already beyond ridiculous. • Excellent sources of HP gear such as Emergency Rescue Tubes, Versalmas Cactus. • Permanent Christmas socks like the Green or Navy Sock are excellent sources for DEX and STR. • Burning Snowflake Pendant is a Cash item, and thus STACKS on top of your MoN. Not only does it give major stats when upgraded, but also major HP. It's ridiculous. • Zombie Army Rings are notorious for being amazing for Beginners. HP boosts are way too good to pass up on. • Anniversary equips like Maple Leaves are amazing Face gears when you do not have a better gear. • Summer Event Ice Creams are Face Gears that can add up to 6WA. That's massive. One might consider getting married. Not only do you find a special someone to spend your maple life with, and in my case, my actual life, but actually the 30 MDEF impacts damage reduction quite nicely. • Wedding Rings! Because c'mon, show some love! • Highly Stable Damage • Not as high output on bosses that KB • Medium Reach • Relatively Low Max Range • Fast (4) Speed • Needs godly stats to be truly comparable • At perfect stats and WA buffs, the Map is comparable to the Fan on the same buffs. • Whilst Consistent, low damage • High Pot Burn Ideal Maps: Kid Mannequins and GS2 Toy of 101 Total Stats: 117WA Toy of 101 STR: 695 WDEF: 211 WA: 141 DEX: 96 MDEF: 252 MAXHP: 4998 INT: 46 SPD: 140% ACC: 151 LUK: 43 JMP: 123% AVD: 74 Highest Recorded Cider DPH: 13,462,140 LV120 Maximised RANGE: Base Ciders Apples Apples+MW20 *Note: The Stats and Gear represented in this entire graphic are not representative of the stats and gear I had while I was training.
