The Wonder of Woman As I listened to my partner as she verbalized the pleasures of our intimacy, As I felt her body reacting and responding to it, As a man, I felt deeply the absence of not knowing first hand what she was experiencing. While I was instrumental in what she was experiencing, I was a bystander. No man knows what a woman feels when he is sexually intimate doing what he does and how. Only a woman knows what another woman feels. A woman is naturally bisexual. A woman's body is designed to create ova, to ovulate, to conceive or menstruate. If she does not conceive, the process repeats. A man's body is designs to create sperm and deliver it to a woman's ovum. A man finds pleasure in ejaculating his sperm. He seeks opportunities to do so. A woman, during ovulation, is open to having a man enter her body through her vagina to deliver his sperm to her ovum. The nerve ending in a woman that give her sexual pleasure, though, are not involved. If conceptions occurs, the process of developing a new life begins. A zygote is created from the genetic material contained in the sperm and ovum. The zygote attaches to the woman's womb where it develops into a fetus. While we are aware of what happens in the process we do not know how it all happens. Gestation occurs over about 9 months. In normal birthing, the fetus exits through the woman’s vagina. The process can terminate naturally at any time. Not all newborns are born alive nor with the inherent physical and intellectual capabilities to live self-sustainably as an adult. The human reproduction process is a random process within a context. It is aptly described by, “let’s try this and see what happens”. When does life begin? For some, it is when a newborn takes it’s first breath on its own. I submit that it is when a newborn nurses at its mother’s breast and subsequently defecates. Consider the wonder of the vagina. It expands to enable a man's engorged penis to enter a woman’s body, then closes around it to encourage ejaculation to deliver his sperm to her ovum. And then, when the fetus is birthed, it expands to enable the head, shoulders and body of the newborn to pass. After which, the vagina returns to its dormant size. The entrance to the vagina is naturally hidden and protected. No man knows what a woman feels when she first sees her newborn nor when she brings it to her breast to nurse. Only a woman develops new life. Her body is a wondrous thing. Given what we know now about cellular asexual reproduction, it is more likely that at some point in time in our evolution, a cell capable of asexual reproduction created a new cell that evolved to become man. History suggests that we exist to evolve. Having two separate sources for genetic material enables more diverse evolution. Stu Sanfield < livinglife@fastmaail.com > I invite discussion Aug 22, 2025
