ANDY FICKMAN DIRECTOR Andy Fickman is an award-winning director/producer who, along with his partners Kevin Murphy and Larry O’Keefe, developed Heathers the Musical, which sold out its run in Los Angeles. Heathers transferred to New York for a successful run at New World Stages where it was nominated for multiple Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Lortel awards. In 2018 the show opened in London at The Other Palace before transferring to the West End for its first run at the Theatre Royal Haymarket. Fickman is next set to direct the romantic drama One True Love based on the best-selling novel by Taylor Reid Jenkins. The film stars Phillipa Soo, Simu Liu and Luke Bracey. Fickman recently wrapped his latest film, the family comedy Christmas Again, for Disney. Prior to that, he directed and executive produced all episodes of The Crew for Netflix, starring Kevin James, Freddie Stroma and Sarah Stiles. Previously, he directed and executive produced Kevin James’ Netflix stand-up comedy special Never Don’t Give Up and directed Netflix’s No Good Nick, starring Melissa Joan Hart and Sean Astin. Prior to that, he directed the hit film Playing with Fire, starring John Cena, Keegan-Michael Key, John Leguizamo and Judy Greer, for Paramount. Additionally, Fickman directed and executive produced two seasons of Kevin Can Wait for Sony TV and CBS, which was nominated for two People’s Choice Awards. Fickman also helmed Sony’s box office hit movie, Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2. The film was nominated for multiple Teen Choice Awards, including Best Comedy. He co-wrote and produced the Showtime original movie adaptation of Reefer Madness starring Kristen Bell, Steven Webber, Neve Campbell, Ana Gasteyer and Alan Cumming. The film premiered at Sundance in 2005 and Kevin won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Music and Lyrics. Kevin is also a veteran showrunner of both comedy and drama series. He most recently ran The Son for AMC, starring Pierce Brosnan. LAURENCE O’KEEFE BOOK, MUSIC AND LYRICS Laurence O’Keefe is a composer, lyricist, book writer for Broadway, film and television.With his wife and co-author Nell Benjamin, Larry co-wrote the musical Legally Blonde, which ran on Broadway and was nominated for seven Tony Awards, including Best Score, won the Olivier Award for Best Musical in the West End, was filmed live for an MTV special, spawned an MTV reality show and has received hundreds of productions worldwide.
