Comment your thoughts below. Before going into the actual content let’s know What Is a Myth, few of you will have the question What a Myth is Actually Mean. A Myth is Also known as Mythology Which means, An idea or story which many people believe but that does not exist or is false. What Are Battery Myths? Battery Myths are a few misconceptions or false statements that way around batteries. Let me Break those Myths and give you a few Useful Tips To Maintain Your iPhone Battery. Without further ado, Let’s get started. No.1: One of the common and most accepted myths is, Letting your phone charge for too long will affect your battery health. The direct answer is No! Your phone Won’t get affected when you charge for too long. Current batteries are well tuned and it is programmed as per the charging technology. It is known as “OCP” Over Charging protection. when your battery reaches 100% your phone automatically cuts the power of the circuit and your battery won’t get charged after it reaches full capacity. So your battery will not get affected by letting it charge for too long. No.2: Letting the battery discharge for 0% will improve the battery’s health. Yes! It is true. But not now, the Olden days batteries are not that efficient. So we have to let the battery down by 0%. But now Batteries are well efficient so it is not necessary to do that. No.3: Using battery-saving apps will increase the productivity of the battery. It’s funny because even tech geeks believe it and promote those battery-saving apps to their viewers, the real fact is False. Using those battery-saving apps will not improve the productivity of the battery but collects all your datas. And sell your private data to hackers or to anonymous people. Not all the apps but most of the apps that you use in day to day life. So please don’t believe in those apps. Following a few simple steps regularly will maintain the same level of battery without affecting it. Which we will discuss later. No.4: Charging my phone with a high voltage charger will blast my phone. Nowadays Android phones come with 60W Charger, 120W Charger. If your phone supports only 10 or 15W and charging your phone on a 60W charger will blast the phone. It is absolutely wrong, one of the funniest myths. Because if the phone’s capacity is 15W it will only allow 15W of power to pass. Even if you connect your phone charger to a lorry’s battery and make it charge it will only take supported Watts of input. Don’t believe in those Myths. No.5: Using a third-party charger will reduce the efficiency of the battery. Yes! I agree with that but until the charger is Not certified by the government. What Is a Certified Charger? Products marked as Qi Certified have passed rigorous, independent laboratory tests for safety, interoperability and energy efficiency. Alternative claims like “Qi compliant,” “Qi compatible” or “Works with Qi,” suggests a product has not undergone proper Qi certification testing. The charger should get certification from the government, But cheap chargers that are available in the market at an affordable price is not recommendable because those chargers are not certified by the government and have not undergone regular tests. Because it is cheap, don't buy that kind of charger. It will definitely reduce the efficiency of your battery and also your phone. These are some common Myths that go around the battery. Now let’s move on to the tips. 20:80 rule. The one-step which I follow regularly is Plugging my phone at 20% and plugging out my phone at 80%. Not only my phone, but all the electronics items I use will also have the same ratio. Because it is sufficient to run my day. So please follow this same rule to your devices and you will notice the difference. Using your phone for long hours and charging it suddenly after the battery drains will definitely lead to battery diffusion. Because your phone gets heat by playing games for too many hours and charging it suddenly will make it even hotter. And that leads to battery diffusion. So cool down your phone for some time after the usage. And plug it in, will maintain the same battery level. These two steps I follow regularly and suggest to you. After following them for a month or so you will notice the difference. In the next battery episode let us discuss detailed Battery maintaining tips.
