CROWN OF GLORY What happened to the crown of thorns on jesus' head, When he was taken down from the cross dead, It disappeared and was not seen again, At least by mortal men, For Satan had it brought to him, In his fiery realm, He wanted something to remember is master plan, Where he thought he had ended the salvation of man, For with the death of the son of god, There was no one else that could do the job, And all mankind would die in sin, Then become his slaves in the end, But Satan did not count on one thing, That the rising of the sun on the third day would bring, For death could not hold Jesus down, And once again he walked above ground, When the stone rolled away he walked from the crypt alone, Then he ascended and stood before his father's throne, There before him awaiting, Was a very discouraged Satan, God had called him before his throne, And when he saw Jesus he let out of low moan, For satan had come to heaven expecting a victory only to find, That he had lost to Jesus the savior of mankind, For jesus's death and resurrection, Had given mankind an escape from their self destruction, And with the forgiveness Jesus gave, No longer would they have to be sins slave, And if they believe in him, They would one day live with him in his father's heavenly realm, Well Jesus told Satan to bring forth the crown of thorns, That on his brow Jesus had worn, Satan brought it forth, Because to him now it wasn't much worth, But when it was placed in Jesus' hand, It made Satan frown, For it turned into a glorious crown, And when Jesus placed it on his head a light glowed from him that was seen all around, And all the angels and Satan bowed down, And Jesus took a seat on the throne at god's right hand, And became king over all the land,
