Auckland author, naturopath and acupuncturist Lynda Wharton started The Health Forum NZ in 2021 when she realised there was nowhere to discuss concerns about vaccine safety, risks and benefits. Lynda may be of natural and alternative health ilk, but she’s not taken the responsibility of holding up the ugly truth lightly. “I try to bring a fairly unemotional way, the facts - and I like the data. There’s so much data to back up what was suspicious for many of us,” she says. You don’t have to go far. Medsafe stopped reporting on Covid-19 vaccine injuries in November, having reached nearly 65,000 reports - over 3,600 of those serious. Lynda’s had a close eye on pharmacovigilance data from the beginning of the international rollout, and was shocked at the overseas data showing a huge spike in numbers of injuries and unprecedented complexity of reported effects. “Cardiac, neurological disorders, immune dysfunction... I’d never seen anything like it before,” she says. Lynda was alarmed prior to the messaging that would blanket the New Zealand public. “Not only was the marketing pitched to everybody, irrespective of whether you were pregnant, what pre-existing conditions you had, what your age was or what your personal risk-benefit profile was ... we were told it was ‘safe and effective’. I felt like I was in a Sliding Doors movie,” says Lynda. “I was expecting an immunologist or somebody, anybody, to stand up and demand a nuanced conversation.” The notion of vaccine injury appears to be crazy talk to many. Last edition we reported how difficult it was for people negatively affected by vaccination to lodge their reports. Free NZ journalist Liz Gunn recently interviewed adverse-affected Australian actor Barry Duffield - who says he was laughed at by his own doctor when he said he suspected dramatic chronic fatigue-like symptoms were caused by the injection. Cricket magazines internationally last week reported cardiologists’ suspicion that Shane Warne’s death last year may have been vaccine harm. None of this is in NZ mainstream media... a continuation of censorship in the same vein that saw Facebook scrub Lynda’s support group early last year, without warning or reason, after nine months of existence. “Before that we were getting up to 2000 comments on posts from people who had stories to share about vaccine harm. We’d have to turn the commenting off because it was too overwhelming to moderate.” The Health Forum garnered 58,000 followers seeking and providing comfort and support before its abrupt removal. Lynda is wintering at the top of the south on a mission to restore balance to her life. “It was probably the most exhausting thing I’ve ever done, but so richly rewarding. The gratitude, the kindness, was such a beautiful gift.” ~Samantha Blanchard Lynda’s experience as a naturopath and her research on the adverse effects of the injection means she also knows about the solutions. She’ll be at the Village Green this Saturday 10-1 to answer questions. www.thehealthforumnz.co,nz The World Council for Health has Spike Protein detox guides available for download on its website: https://worldcouncilforhealth.org/ Find out more about the Stop CoGovernance campaign at www.stopcogovernance.kiwi Part three in our Ren Xue Qigong series... Consciously creating our future, from the inside, out The development of the land in Onekaka from dairy farm to the first Ren Xue retreat centre was an idea seeded long before its kaitiaki (caretakers) landed nearby. The dream for a physical home for Ren Xue was shared almost 15 years ago by the New Zealand-based founder of Ren Xue, Yuan Tze and has been in the hearts of many who practise Ren Xue and its Qigong system of Yuan Gong. “I’ve read transcripts of his vision - what a centre would look like, what it would feel like, who might live there and what might happen there... It really felt like I was walking a path that was already there,” says Catherine Alker, a steward of the project on behalf of Ren Xue Australasia. “The Ren Xue teachings are at the centre of the project, aiming to foster harmony - within ourselves, others and with nature. There's never been a more important time for humanity to look for ways to work together on the problems we all face.” The discipline of Yuan Gong is a subset of Qigong, which literally means ‘energy work’, while Ren Xue translates to the study of human life. “All Qigong systems are strongly connected with nature - the ancients would observe the world we live in, what we’re doing and how we live here - they very much saw things as a whole, rather than humans being separate from the world,” says Cat. The practices of Yuan gong work with qi (energy) to harmonise the body and mind, making for a healthier body and a calmer disposition. Cat says the aim is to settle ourselves inside and then exude that beyond, to our families and communities - and this is where change is made. “Doing Yuan Gong has helped me to slow down and find the calmness and trust to face my own problems and problems in the world. It’s easy to become busy, or look the other way... But what I’m feeling more and more is a sense of responsibility, so looking honestly at myself and the world’s challenges - and asking the question ‘what can I do?’. For me it’s noticing how I do things - big and small: is it from a place of love, calmness, peace?” “ If we become more peaceful and harmonious inside, by working on ourselves - then that ripples out when we communicate. We can inspire people... I think of people who’ve come from that place, like Ghandi,” ...who said: be the change you wish to see in the world. The GB Thinker has highlighted several issues during its lifetime that may pin the blame on politicians or authorities out of our reach. But the inspiration of this story is that the only real change we have control over is that which we make to ourselves, and how we build a life around that. Are you approaching your life from a place of love and peace? Or are some of your decisions made from fear or disharmony? What would it mean to cultivate more mindfulness about where your actions come from? Enquiries to qigonggoldenbay@gmail.com ~Samantha Blanchard “Peace comes from a changed attitude. At the bottom of the war mentality that casts the world into a drama of enemies and threats lies a debased view of human nature. When you see human beings as fundamentally selfish and all nations as fundamentally evil, then all you have available to change their behaviour is threats and bribes. Peace comes from a different place: it starts by seeing within others, and within ourselves that which is not selfish, but is brave, and generous and idealistic, and has good intentions. And I’m not saying that we should ignore the base elements of human nature or the dangers of the world... but if that’s all that we see, then we are going to be stuck forever in the mentality of war, and that’s what the Military Industrial Complex wants. ” USA Presidential Candidate RFK Jr, Peace and Diplomacy speech, 20 June 2023 Find Aroha at the Upstairs Shop above Dragonfly and Soma 30 Commercial St, Takaka. It’s hard, however, to agree with all the assertions made by the “Stop Co-governance movement” led by Julian Batchelor. I’m not convinced his analysis of Te Tiriti is entirely accurate, but it’s too complex to address here. I’m concerned about the extent to which Batchelor’s ideas appeal to people who already seem biased against Maori. Some seem to think Maori representatives willingly gave away all their power by signing Te Tiriti, which I very much doubt. Others are averse to Maori being an official language and reversion to Maori names for places and birds. Rodney Hide even suggests Maori are considerably better off as a result of colonisation. There is more than a hint of Eurocentricity here. After colonisation Maori lost much traditional knowledge (including that of traditional medicine), land and traditional food sources, suffered from novel diseases, a major decline in life expectancy, and war, and declined to such low numbers it was feared they, or at least their culture, would vanish. Economic and social pressure forced many Maori into urban areas after WWII, severing bonds between whanau. Maori children were severely punished for using their language at school until the 1960s. These and other impacts of colonisation led to inter-generational trauma that continues to disadvantage many Maori today. I’m sure “mistakes were made on both sides” but I doubt the majority of the blame lies with Maori. I accept Batchelor’s right to express his views and will consider them with an open mind. I urge truth-seekers not to completely dismiss all Maori grievances and efforts to address them. If they’re not also willing to be open minded, perhaps it’s time they reverted to calling tuis parson birds. ~Peter Russell Make up your own mind - Julian is in town next Friday the 14th, 2pm at the Senior Citizens Hall.
