NOBLE TREE AND THE GREAT FLOOD As noble tree was wondering through the Promised Land, God came to him and took him by the hand, He told noble tree he was tired of all the wickedness on this earth, These days I cannot find on it much of any worth, Satan has taken all that was once good here, And turned it into evil I fea,r Even the animals are evil in end their own away, From their natural way of life they have strayed, They no longer follow the laws of the land, But they try to duplicate the actions of man, Just to see them doing things against my will, Makes me very ill, So I have come to a conclusion, I am going to flood the land and cleanse it of all the pollution, And make the land free of sin, Then maybe I'll start again, Noble tree also had been walking throughout the land, And he to had seen in the evil of man, He also knew that all were not that way, There was still a few who knew how to pray, He knew first hand that Noah and his Suns, Were truly known as righteous ones, They did everything right according to gods word, And their lives should be preserved, As noble tree was about to say this to God, God was already answering him with a nod, God said I know about Noah, his children and his wife, And you’re right I should spare their life, So I will have him build a large boat, And when the water comes in it they will float, Noble tree told God surely not all beasts are bad, And to destroy the good with the bad would be sad, God told noble tree he was right again, And he would send him to collect all those who were not, contaminated by man So noble tree traveled through out the land, Getting all the animals not affected by man, Can he took them to Noah’s home, And they put them in pens so they would not roam, Noah didn't know what to think of noble tree, Of course it was something no one ever sees, The most any has ever seen was maybe a glimpse as noble tree went by, And they didn't see that if they blinked their eyes, Noble tree was very fast, So an impression of him would not last, As long as noble tree was not known by Man, He was free to roam throughout the land,, But God had told Noah about him, And for Noah to have the pens ready for him, But still when Noah saw noble tree, He was something amazing to see, For he was to big as a house, But he was quiet as a mouse, Not a sound did he make, With each step that he did take, Noble tree asked Noah what else he needed for the building of the ark, The voice that Noah heard was as sweet and soft as a meadowlark, Noah said I need trees for the boards, That I will use for the walls and Floors, As you can see noble tree, There’s not many around here to see, At least not many that would be sea worthy, Noble tree told Noah not worry, He would bring to Noah what he needed, And do everything he could to help Noah to ensure gods plan succeeded, After saying this noble tree slipped away, And Noah didn't see him for a many a day, While noble tree went towards the North Woods, Noah worked on the ark and did what he could, Noble tree made it to the woods in the night, And he waited for the coming of the sunlight, When the day he finally came, He called upon God by his name, He asked God for the power over the trees, So from the dirt he could set them free, And then he could lead them, To the land of Noah so they could be used by him, To finish building the ark as God had planned, So Noah, his family and the animals would be safe when God flooded the land, God answered noble trees request, And noble tree out of all the trees chose the best, He called for then to come free of the land, They had no choice but to do as the command, They gathered around him like sheep does a shepherd, Noble tree waited for the night before he led been southward, He waited till the dark of the night, So the darkness would conceal them from human sight, When darkness did come to the land, Noble tree uttered aloud command, With noble tree in the Lead, The journey to Noah’s land did proceed, Through the land of man they did go, So quietly that man would never know, It wasn't long before they reached Noah’s home, And once again they were planted so they could not roam, When Noah woke the next day, He said to himself in disbelief no way, For where there was once nothing to see, Now all around his home was a forest of trees, More than enough for the work to proceed, And to insure that the ark would succeed, At the head of them all, Was noble tree standing tall, When noble tree spoke this time his voice because of weariness sounded rough, As he asked Noah if he had brung enough, Noah answered yes with a nod, And they both bowed their heads and thanked God, Noble tree told Noah he could not stick around, And watch Noah cut the trees down, Noble tree knew that the trees would not feel any pain, But just the same he would leave and return before the rain, Noble tree then left Noah alone, And across the land he began again to roam, In hopes that he would find, Other animals not affected by humankind, On his journey he met a unicorn, A horse that had on its head a single horn, A beautiful creature, With some other special features, Like noble tree it could talk and it could do one other special thing, With the voice of the angel it could sing, As noble tree listened to one of its beautiful songs, He tried to convince it to come along, But the unicorn was very proud, And it didn't like Being in a crowd, So no matter what noble tree did or said, The unicorn refused to be led, So the unicorn noble tree could not convince, That is why you haven't seen a unicorn since, So with a heart filled with dismay, Noble tree went on his way, All along his travels, He met a many more animals, That he felt worthy of saving if he could, For there were still many more animals not altered by man and his brood, Some would listen to noble tree, Than again some would not and from noble tree they would flee, Of course some did understand, And noble tree sent them Noah’s land, That way they would be safe from the water, But as for the others, Noble tree left alone, And throughout the land he continued to Roam, By chance or not be met another amazing animal that he could not make believe, For the Devil had him deceived, The once powerful dragon, Who thought greatly of himself for he was always bragging, That he was the most powerful being under the sun, Because of all the things in his lifetime that he had done, And all mankind was afraid of him, For he could do what he would with them, But he too did perish, For it was the Devil not God that he did cherish, After a long while noble trees journey came to an end, For he had made a great circle and arrived where his journey had began, By this time the ark was completed, And the task of getting all the animals aboard had succeeded, The clouds in the sky had gotten dark, As Noah and his family entered the ark, As Noah shut the door, The rain came down with a roar, Noble tree climbed up to the Stern of the boat, Where he would steer it when it began to float, It wasn't long before the ship began to rise, Then noble tree heard the sound of human cries, Nothing more horrible than that sound, Of the men, women, and children being drowned, After awhile all those sounds seemed to go away, Except for one little cry heard all that they, As the water and boat rose higher, Noble tree could still here the crier, When noble tree looked over the side, He saw child in a bucket full of t tears that it had cried, Without a moment to think Noble tree reached out and took the child before the bucket could sink, Noble tree held the child in is all arms, Completely enthralled by its charms, He held it there for quite awhile, As he steered the ship for a many a mile, Singing sweet nothing's in its ears, To quiet down its fears, He covered it up with its branches to keep it dry, And after awhile it ceased to cry, Feeling safe and secure, It fell asleep and its sounds were like a small kitten’s purr, Why oh why, Didn’t noble tree just let the child die, For noble tree had no fitted food to give it, And it would starve without it, It would have been better for the water to take its breath, Then for noble tree to have to watch is starve to death, With nothing else that he could do, He went to the one that could make all things new, He looked up to heaven and began to pray, Knowing that only God can make things better in every way, Oh my father up in heaven, Please forgive this child for misbehaving, If not for the child do it for me, Make this child into a tree, Before noble tree could finish his prayers, A part of the clouds began to tear, And through them a light did shine, Where the light shown the rain stop for a moment of time, Noble tree set the child in the light, And a child looked up toward heaven with delight, As quick as you could count to three, The child became a beautiful tree, A tree would branches it loved to Wiggle, And a voice that was filled with giggles, Such a happy tree it became, That noble tree had no problem with its name, Ailanthus it would be called because of its craving, For the light and love of God in heaven, For it was born of the light of God's love, That he sent down from heaven above, Each day at a certain time, On Ailanthus the sun would shine, And day by day Ailanthus grew strong, Every day it would send praise to God with song, A song of adoration, To the master of all creation, Forty days and night the rain came down, Till there was nothing but water all around, Then the rain stopped and the clouds did break, And once again the sun did awake, The water began to recede, Of course that made everyone happy indeed, Soon the water was gone, And the purging of the earth was done, Then one day the land was dry, And noble tree and Ailanthus left the ark with a sigh, They sunk their roots into the dirt, And stood there very alert, Listening to signs of life, But it was so quiet you could cut it with a knife, For all that was once alive under the sun, Was now dead and gone, Soon Noah and his family came out, Praising God with a great shout, God looked down at his children, And told them never again will I destroy all creation because of man's sins, I will place a rainbow in the rain clouds as proof of this promise, That the waters of the great flood will never again arise, And only man will pay the cost, Without the rest of creation being lost, And with that Promise noble tree and the children of God went into the land that was made a new, And once again the population of earth grew,
