How to use MetaMask: A step by step guide MetaMask is one of the most popular browser extensions that serves as a way of storing your Ethereum and other ERC - 20 Tokens. The extension is free and secure, and it allows web applications to read and interact with Ethereum’s blockchain. Step 1. Install MetaMas k on your browser. To create a new wallet, you have to install the extension first. Depending on your browser, there are different marketplaces to find it. Most browsers have MetaMask on their stores, you can find them in Chrome, Firefox, and Opera browse rs. In this tutorial, I will be using Google Chrome as an example but the same steps apply to different browsers as well. If, for some reason, the links above don’t work for you, just search MetaMask Extension on your favorite search engine, and you can fi nd it there. Use search engine to look for Metamask and click Download Click on Install Metamask for Chrome Click on Add to Chrome Click on Add Extension Step 2. Create an account. On the top right side of your Chrome browser do click on the puzzle icon and pin Metamask wallet as shown in red boxes . Once successful you will see the Metamask extension as shown in the green box Click on the Metamask Extension on your top right an d click on Get Started Click on Create a Wallet On the next step you may either click No Thanks or I Agree You will be prompted to create a new password. Click Create Proceed by clicking Next Click Reveal Secret Words . There you will see a re 12 words seed phrase . This is really important and usually not a good idea to store digitally, so take your time and write it down Once you written down your Seed Phrase you may click Next You will be requested to verify the Seed Phrase once again in the correct order Once you are done you may click on Confirm Congratulations you have successfully created your Metamask account. You now are given a new Ethereum wallet address. Let’s move on to the next step on how to fund your Metamask Wallet. Step 3: How to fund your Metamask Wallet a. How to find ETH wallet address on Metamask: Click on your Metamask extension. Click on Buy Under Deposit ETH scroll all the way down and click on View Account You can copy your ETH address and use it to start depositing funds into your Metamask wallet b. How to add USDT into your Metamask wallet: On your Metamask Extension wallet click on import tokens Type in USDT in the search bar and select Tether USD (USDT) and click Next Click on Import Tokens Congratulations you have successfully added USDT into your Metamask wallet In order to deposit USDT into your Metamask wallet do refer back to section (a) of this tutorial to obtain your wallet address.
