Inside you will find the exam fact sheet, how the three advanced Cloud Foundation exams divide one blueprint between them, all thirty objectives in Broadcom’s wording with the duplicate flagged, what support engineering pays against the design and administration tracks, a five-step route from hands-on troubleshooting to booked seat, and ten sample questions with a full answer key. 60 Items 135 Minutes 300 scaled To pass $250 Fee VMware 3V0-13.26 Certification Guide VCAP-VCF Support www.vmexam.com 2 Exam Overview Exam code 3V0-13.26 Exam name Advanced VMware Cloud Foundation 9 Support Credential earned VMware Certified Advanced Professional - VMware Cloud Foundation Support (VCAP-VCF Support) Product version VMware Cloud Foundation 9 Questions 60 items Duration 135 minutes of appointment time Passing score 300, on a scaled method Exam fee USD 250 Delivery Proctored, through Pearson VUE Item types Multiple choice, multiple-selection multiple choice, build-list, matching, drag-and-drop, point-and-click and hot-area Prerequisite None stated in the exam guide - see below Exam guide Broadcom’s 3V0-13.26 exam guide, last updated 18 August 2026 The item count, appointment time, scaled pass mark, item types and all thirty objectives come from Broadcom’s own 3V0-13.26 exam guide, last updated 18 August 2026. The fee and practice detail come from VMExam's 3V0-13.26 syllabus page. The item-type row matters more on this paper than on most. Alongside multiple choice, Broadcom lists multiple-selection multiple choice, build-list, matching, drag-and-drop, point-and-click and hot-area - and two objectives, 5.28 and 5.29, carry the word Simulations in their own text. Expect to work in a representation of a console rather than only to read sentences. And the pass mark is scaled : 300 on a scale to 500, which is not a percentage of sixty items. The exam guide states no prerequisite and refers you to the certification website for the full requirements, so check the current position on the VCAP-VCF Support certification page before you book. What the guide does describe is the candidate: someone who implements, operates, maintains and troubleshoots a multi-region or multi-organization VCF private cloud, with hands-on experience across every component, and who knows when a problem needs research, a colleague, or Broadcom support. VMware 3V0-13.26 Certification Guide VCAP-VCF Support www.vmexam.com 3 Three Exams, One Blueprint Divided VMware standardises every exam blueprint into the same five sections. The three advanced Cloud Foundation 9 exams divide those five sections between them, and the division is clean: no section is tested by more than one exam, and no exam shares an objective with another. Exam Track Blueprint sections Objectives Items each 3V0-12.26 Architect Sections 1, 2 and 3 20 ~3 3V0-11.26 Administrator Section 4 60 ~1 3V0-13.26 Support (this exam) Section 5 30 ~2 All three are identical in every other published respect - sixty items, 135 minutes, a scaled pass mark of 300, USD 250, the same seven item types, the same Pearson VUE delivery. What differs is the work being tested: design on the Architect paper, building and configuring on the Administrator paper, and diagnosis and recovery here. If you have prepared for one of the others, essentially none of it carries across. The right-hand column is the practical consequence. Sixty items spread across thirty objectives averages two items each, against roughly one on the Administrator paper and three on the Architect paper. Broadcom does not publish the mapping, so that is an average rather than a promise - but it does mean a subject you skip here costs you about twice what the same decision would cost on the Administrator exam. The Blueprint, Grouped by Subject VCF Operations 6 Storage and vSAN 5 vSphere infrastructure 5 NSX 5 VKS and Supervisor 4 VCF Automation 3 Performance 2 Bars count objectives, not official weightings - VMware publishes none for this exam and lists all thirty in a single flat sequence under Section 5. The grouping is this guide’s, made to show where the material clusters. Thirty objectives listed, and the weight sits with the tooling. VCF Operations troubleshooting is six , and vSphere infrastructure and NSX are five each - sixteen of the thirty in those three groups alone. Storage and vSAN adds five more. The smaller groups are not optional: vSphere Kubernetes Service is four objectives covering provisioning failures, registry and trusted CA errors, failed upgrades and VMware 3V0-13.26 Certification Guide VCAP-VCF Support www.vmexam.com 4 cluster performance, and two of the ten sample questions below are Kubernetes problems. One thing to know before you read the list: Broadcom’s guide lists thirty objectives but only 29 distinct ones . Objective 5.30 is word for word identical to 5.1 - "monitor VMware vSAN using tools in VCF" appears twice. Both are reproduced below as published rather than quietly merged, because the numbering is what your score report will reference if you need a retake. VCF Operations Troubleshooting (6 objectives) • 5.19 Given a scenario, troubleshoot VCF Operations infrastructure configuration issues (CloudProxy, Clusters, HA, adapters). • 5.20 Given a scenario, troubleshoot VCF configuration issues using VCF Operations. • 5.21 Given a scenario, troubleshoot VCF networks with VCF Operations for Networks. • 5.22 Given a scenario, troubleshoot Workloads issues with VCF Operations. • 5.23 Given a scenario, use VCF Operations for logs to troubleshoot issues. • 5.24 Given a scenario, troubleshoot VCF Operations Alerts. What These Skills Are Worth Public pay data is reported by job title rather than by credential, so read it as a position on a scale rather than as a figure this exam earns you. PayScale puts the average base salary for a systems engineer working in computer networking and IT at $86,075, on 1,079 salary profiles last updated 26 June 2026, with the tenth to ninetieth percentile running from $61,000 to $121,000. The useful comparison is across the three tracks, on the same source. A systems administrator with VMware ESX skills averages $77,374; this systems engineer band averages $86,075; an infrastructure architect averages $119,308. A generic technical support engineer sits at $76,604, which is the figure to ignore - the word "support" in this credential means advanced platform diagnosis, not a service desk, and the two are not the same market. The argument for this exam specifically is that troubleshooting skill is the hardest of the three tracks to fake and the easiest to demonstrate once held. Anyone can describe a healthy architecture; far fewer can look at an esxtop panel where DAVG is high and KAVG is near zero and say what that rules out. On a platform version as new as VCF 9, the people who can do that under time pressure are scarce, and they are the ones an employer calls during an incident rather than during a planning cycle. A Five-Step Route to the Seat Step 1 — Be sure you want the support paper, not one of its two siblings Broadcom runs three advanced Cloud Foundation exams with identical formats and no shared objectives. This one is Section 5, Troubleshoot and Optimize: monitoring, diagnosis and recovery on a running estate. The Administrator paper, 3V0-11.26, is Section 4 and tests building and configuring. VMware 3V0-13.26 Certification Guide VCAP-VCF Support www.vmexam.com 6 The Architect paper, 3V0-12.26, is Sections 1 to 3 and tests design. Preparing for one does nothing for the others. Step 2 — Build the tool map before the symptom list Objective 5.5 asks you to identify the tools to troubleshoot an issue, and 5.25 asks the same for NSX. Most of the rest assume you already know which tool answers which question: Skyline Health for vSAN findings, esxtop for host-level latency and contention, VCF Operations dashboards for cluster contention and datastore latency, VCF Operations for Logs, VCF Operations for Networks, and kubectl for VKS. Half the sample questions below are decided by knowing where to look first. Step 3 — Learn to read the numbers, not just find them Two sample questions turn on interpreting a measurement rather than collecting it: one separates a sustained latency problem from a single spike by comparing a worst-case figure against a 95th percentile, and another reads an esxtop storage panel where DAVG is high while KAVG and QAVG are near zero, which points outside the host. That skill is the difference between a support engineer and someone who can open the same screens. Step 4 — Spend the most time on VCF Operations and the platform troubleshooting band VCF Operations troubleshooting is six objectives, vSphere infrastructure five and NSX five - sixteen of the thirty between them. Add storage and vSAN and you have two thirds of the blueprint. The smaller groups still matter: VKS is four objectives covering provisioning failures, registry and trusted CA errors and failed upgrades, and two of the ten sample questions are Kubernetes ones. Step 5 — Book it, and expect simulations Two objectives, 5.28 and 5.29, carry the word Simulations in Broadcom’s own wording - ECMP and high availability, and a logical routing packet walk. Read together with the item-type list, which includes point-and-click, hot-area, drag-and-drop and build-list, that is a strong hint you will be asked to work in a representation of the interface rather than pick a sentence. Sixty items in 135 minutes, and the pass mark is 300 on a scale to 500, not a percentage. Sample Questions These ten come straight from the VMExam 3V0-13.26 sample set, in a shuffled order. One asks for two answers and offers five options. Read how they are built: each one gives you a symptom, some evidence already gathered, and often a plausible wrong move a colleague has suggested - then asks what to do FIRST or NEXT. That word is doing real work, because several of the wrong options are things you might legitimately do later. The answer key follows. VMware 3V0-13.26 Certification Guide VCAP-VCF Support www.vmexam.com 7 Q1. VMs on a VMFS datastore backed by a Fibre Channel LUN report slow disk response. On one ESX host the engineer runs esxtop and opens the storage device panel for the LUN: DAVG/cmd 38 ms, KAVG/cmd 0.1 ms, QAVG/cmd 0 ms, GAVG/cmd 38 ms. Where should the engineer focus the investigation NEXT? a) On the device queue depth and adapter queue settings of the host b) On the storage array and SAN fabric that serve the LUN c) On VMkernel CPU contention on the ESX host d) On the guest operating system inside the affected VMs Q2. An engineer edits a VKS cluster to a newer compatible VKr, but the rolling update never starts. The cluster shows SystemChecksSucceeded = False, reason NotSucceeded, and the message MisconfiguredSoftwareChecks failed. A third-party admission webhook was installed in the cluster last month. What should the engineer do FIRST? a) Fix or remove the blocking webhook b) Upgrade the Supervisor to trigger a fresh rolling update of the cluster c) Annotate the cluster with kubernetes.vmware.com/dangerous-skip-misconfigured-software-check-for-update and retry the edit d) Revert the cluster to its previous VKr and reapply the new one with kubectl apply Q3. A VCF Operations administrator created a custom alert definition for ESX hosts in a management domain. The definition has two symptom sets: one for sustained CPU contention and one for a host property value. The alert-definition wait and cancel cycles are 1, and the definition is active in the default policy. The CPU contention symptom shows as triggered on esx-mgmt-03. The property symptom is not triggered on any host. No alert for this definition appears in the Alerts list for esx-mgmt-03. What is the most likely reason no alert was generated? a) The definition has no notification rule or running outbound plug-in for esx-mgmt-03 and its parent domain b) The alert impact is set to Efficiency instead of Health c) The definition requires all symptom sets to be true, and only one set is true d) The alert-definition wait cycle must be raised above 1 first Q4. A Tier-1 gateway providing NAT runs active-standby on edge-01 (preferred) and edge-02. Edge-01 was rebooted for maintenance, and the Tier-1 SR on edge-02 became active. Edge-01 has returned with node status Up and all BFD sessions up. The Tier-1 SR on edge-01 is still standby an hour later. The Tier-1 failover mode was never changed from its default. Why has the active role not returned to edge-01? a) Standby relocation moved the standby SR to a third edge node b) The failover mode is non-preemptive c) The Tier-1 must be switched to active-active before edge-01 can resume d) Edge-01 still has BFD sessions down and has taken itself out of service VMware 3V0-13.26 Certification Guide VCAP-VCF Support www.vmexam.com 8 Q5. Application owners report intermittent slowness on VMs in a VCF workload domain cluster. In VCF Operations, the engineer sees that several hosts in that cluster show sustained memory ballooning and compression, and a colleague proposes ordering two more hosts. Following the performance-management approach documented for VCF Operations, what should the engineer do FIRST? a) Check the Cluster Utilization dashboard for the ballooning hosts b) Check the Cluster Contention dashboard for KPI breaches c) Add the two hosts and let DRS rebalance the VMs across the cluster d) Raise memory reservations on the ballooning VMs to their configured size Q6. In an All Apps organization, a project administrator opens Kubernetes Management > Policies > Insights and sees a single Threshold insight against the payments-dev namespace. No Violation, Sync or Health insights are listed. A developer asks which Gatekeeper constraint their pods broke. What does the insight indicate? a) The quota policy failed to synchronize from VKS cluster management to the cluster b) Resources in the namespace are non-compliant with a Gatekeeper-based policy c) Gatekeeper on the VKS cluster is not managed by VKS cluster management d) Namespace usage exceeds 80% of a quota policy Q7. After a top-of-rack switch upgrade, vSAN Skyline Health for a VCF Workload Domain cluster shows several Unhealthy findings across the network, data and performance categories. The network team reports that the uplink misconfiguration introduced by the upgrade has now been corrected. Which two actions should the engineer take in Skyline Health NEXT? (Choose two.) a) Retest the health findings instead of waiting for the next periodic run b) Silence the Unhealthy findings that were raised during the switch upgrade c) Sort the findings by root cause and resolve the remaining primary findings first d) Run the proactive VM creation test on each production host e) Turn off the Historical Health Service to clear the health data recorded during the upgrade Q8. After a maintenance window, the Summary tab of a VCF workload domain cluster shows Cluster Services health as Unhealthy, and DRS has stopped generating recommendations. An engineer browsing the Hosts and Clusters view reports that the cluster contains no vCLS VMs at all. What should the engineer do NEXT? a) Change the DRS automation level to fully automated and run DRS again for the cluster b) Deactivate vSphere HA admission control and re-enable DRS on the cluster c) Restart the vpxd service with vmon-cli on the vCenter appliance d) Open the VMs and Templates view and check the vCLS folder for the vCLS VMs and their power state VMware 3V0-13.26 Certification Guide VCAP-VCF Support www.vmexam.com 9 Q9. An engineer reviews the Datastore Performance dashboard in VCF Operations for two shared VMFS datastores on a Fibre Channel array over the last seven days: DS-SQL-01 worst VM disk latency 41 ms, 95th percentile 38 ms; DS-WEB-02 worst VM disk latency 55 ms, 95th percentile 4 ms. Which conclusion do these values support? a) DS-SQL-01 has a sustained latency problem to investigate b) Both datastores show a sustained latency problem at the same severity c) Neither datastore has a latency problem d) DS-WEB-02 has the more serious problem, with the highest worst-case latency Q10. A developer deploys a workload to a VKS cluster whose VKr runs Kubernetes 1.30. The pods do not start and report "Error: container has runAsNonRoot and image will run as root". The images pull from the registry successfully. Which change resolves the error? a) Add the registry CA to the cluster’s trusted CAs b) Create a PodSecurityPolicy and bind it to the authenticated users group in the cluster c) Configure Pod Security Admission for authenticated users on the cluster d) Recreate the image pull secret for the registry Answer Key Q1 b Q2 a Q3 c Q4 b Q5 b Q6 d Q7 a, c Q8 d Q9 a Q10 c VMware 3V0-13.26 Certification Guide VCAP-VCF Support www.vmexam.com 10 Where To Go Next Reading a blueprint is the easy part. The next move is to take the thirty objectives above and, for each one, name the tool you would open first and the measurement that would tell you whether you were right. Where you cannot do that, you have found the gap - on this exam it is usually VCF Operations for Networks, or the VKS failure modes, because both are newer than most production experience. Broadcom’s own preparation route is six Advanced Troubleshooting courses, one each for automation, storage, operations, networking, compute and vSphere Kubernetes Service. When you want to test it under timed conditions, the 3V0-13.26 practice exam runs full-length papers built to this blueprint, and the Broadcom VMware Cloud Foundation community is where VCF engineers work through exactly these symptoms. 30 Objectives listed 29 Distinct 300 / 500 To pass 135 Minutes Guide prepared by VMExam.
