(JP++} Spiritual Head/Founder New Testimony Gospel Church 100 DAYS BIBLE STUDY MATERIAL FOR MEN DAY 1 — THE CALL TO GODLY MANHOOD Understanding God’s Blueprint for a Man Bible Readings: Genesis 1:26–28, Ecclesiastes 12:13, Micah 6:8, 1 Corinthians 16:13–14 From the beginning, God never intended for man to guess his purpose. Genesis 1:26–28 shows that man was created in God’s image, given dominion, and assigned responsibility. A man is not defined by culture, career, money, or society’s expectations. He is defined by who he is in God and what God created him to do The Scriptures show three foundational truths: 1. A GODLY MAN BEGINS WITH IDENTITY Being created in God’s image means: You are made to reflect God’s nature (Genesis 1:26). You are designed for fellowship with God (Genesis 3:8). You are shaped for purpose and destiny (Jeremiah 29:11). A man who does not know who he is will struggle to know where he is going. 2. A GODLY MAN LIVES UNDER DIVINE RESPONSIBILITY God gave Adam responsibility before He gave him a wife (Genesis 2:15–17). This pattern teaches: Responsibility is not optional. Leadership is rooted in obedience. A man answers to God first. 3. A GODLY MAN FOLLOWS GOD’S DIRECTION Solomon summarized man’s ultimate duty in Ecclesiastes 12:13: “Fear God and keep His commandments...” Micah 6:8 adds that God expects men to be just, merciful, and humble. Paul reinforces this in 1 Corinthians 16:13–14: “Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.” This is the biblical picture of a real man: strong, loving, responsible, obedient, humble, and God- fearing. Reflection Questions: 1. What defines my identity—God or society? 2. Am I living responsibly under God’s leadership? Prayer: Lord, help me walk in Your original design for my manhood. DAY 2 — A MAN AFTER GOD’S HEART What Makes a Man After God’s Heart? Bible Readings: 1 Samuel 16:7, Psalm 51, Acts 13:22, Matthew 22:37 When God rejected Saul and chose David, He gave a powerful description: “I have found David... a man after My own heart.” — Acts 13:22 This statement reveals that God is not impressed by outward appearance (1 Samuel 16:7) — He searches the heart. David was far from perfect, yet God testified of him. Why? 1. DAVID VALUED RELATIONSHIP ABOVE RELIGION David pursued God intimately. He wrote: “As the deer pants for the water...” (Psalm 42:1–2) “One thing have I desired...” (Psalm 27:4) His relationship with God was personal, not mechanical. 2. DAVID WAS QUICK TO REPENT Psalm 51 shows a broken and contrite heart. Men who cover sin remain weak; men who confess sin grow strong (Proverbs 28:13). 3. DAVID LOVED GOD’S WORD David delighted in Scripture: “Your word have I hidden in my heart...” (Psalm 119:11) He used the Word to guide his decisions and shape his character — a mark of spiritual maturity. 4. DAVID OBEYED GOD EVEN WHEN IT WAS HARD Obedience is the true measure of a godly man (John 14:15). David obeyed God even when it cost him comfort, pride, or sacrifice. 5. DAVID WORSHIPED FREELY Real men worship. David danced before the Lord without shame (2 Samuel 6:14). Worship reveals humility and surrender. Reflection Questions: 1. Is God the center of my life or just part of it? 2. Do I repent quickly or defend my mistakes? Prayer: Father, give me a heart that seeks You above everything else. DAY 3 — LIVING FOR PURPOSE Discovering and Walking in Your Life Assignment Bible Readings: Jeremiah 1:4–10, Proverbs 19:21, Ephesians 2:10, Romans 8:28–30 Every man was born to solve a problem, bring value, and fulfill a divine assignment. Purpose is not invented — it is revealed by God. 1. PURPOSE BEGINS WITH DIVINE CALLING God told Jeremiah: “Before I formed you... I ordained you.” (Jeremiah 1:5) Meaning: You are not an accident. Your destiny is not random. God knew your purpose before your parents knew your name. 2. PURPOSE PRODUCES DIRECTION Without purpose, men wander. Purpose answers: What should I do? Where should I be? Why am I here? Proverbs 19:21 reminds us that only God’s purpose stands. 3. PURPOSE GIVES STRENGTH AND BOLDNESS Jeremiah felt unqualified (Jeremiah 1:6), but God assured him: “Do not be afraid.” “I am with you.” “I have put My words in your mouth.” Purpose makes an ordinary man extraordinary. 4. PURPOSE INFLUENCES EVERYTHING Purpose shapes: Decisions Career Relationships Marriage Ministry Lifestyle A man who knows purpose stops competing and starts focusing. 5. PURPOSE IS EMPOWERED BY GOD Ephesians 2:10 says you are created for “good works” prepared beforehand. God equips you, leads you, connects you, and trains you for His assignment. Reflection Questions: 1. Do I know what God created me to do? 2. What talents, burdens, or opportunities point toward my purpose? Prayer: Lord, reveal and activate my divine assignment. DAY 4 — OBEDIENCE: THE MARK OF A TRUE MAN The Strength and Blessing of Obedience Bible Readings: Genesis 22:1–18, John 14:21–23, Deuteronomy 28:1–14, Isaiah 1:19 Abraham’s obedience on Mount Moriah remains one of Scripture’s greatest demonstrations of faith. God tested his heart, and Abraham submitted completely. This act unlocked generational blessings that continue today. 1. OBEDIENCE PROVES LOVE FOR GOD Jesus said: “If you love Me, keep My commandments.” (John 14:15) Love is not emotion — it is submission. 2. OBEDIENCE REQUIRES TRUST Abraham did not understand the instruction, yet he followed God. Men often want clarity before obeying, but God wants trust. 3. OBEDIENCE BRINGS BLESSING Deuteronomy 28:1–14 lists the outcomes of obedience: Promotion Favor Protection Success Victory Dominion Isaiah 1:19 adds: “If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land.” 4. OBEDIENCE UNLOCKS DESTINY Abraham’s entire destiny was tied to one act of obedience (Genesis 22:16–18). One obedient man can change a family, community, or generation. 5. OBEDIENCE STRENGTHENS SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY When men obey God, they gain: Courage Direction Confidence Divine backing Respect Influence A man under God’s authority carries heaven’s authority. Reflection Questions: 1. What instruction has God given me that I am delaying to obey? 2. Do I obey even when it is uncomfortable? Prayer: Lord, teach me instant obedience. DAY 5 — WALKING WITH GOD CONSISTENTLY The Power of Consistency in a Man’s Life Bible Readings: Genesis 5:21–24, Hebrews 11:5–6, Psalm 63:1–8, Galatians 5:16–25 Enoch’s life shows that a man can walk with God so closely that heaven itself takes notice. He walked with God for 300 years — consistently, intentionally, and faithfully. 1. WALKING WITH GOD IS A DAILY LIFESTYLE Enoch walked, he didn’t run. Walking means: Steady progress Daily fellowship Dependence on God Growing maturity It’s not emotion-driven; it’s commitment-driven. 2. CONSISTENCY PLEASES GOD Hebrews 11:5 says Enoch had “this testimony — that he pleased God.” A consistent man pleases God more than a powerful but inconsistent man. 3. WALKING WITH GOD REQUIRES DISCIPLINE Psalm 63 shows David’s morning devotion. Men who walk with God: Pray consistently Study the Word regularly Flee sin Live intentionally Guard their hearts Discipline builds spiritual strength. 4. WALKING WITH GOD PRODUCES CHARACTER Galatians 5:16–25 lists the fruits of a Spirit-led life: Love Self-control Patience Faithfulness Gentleness Peace Consistency transforms your inner man. 5. WALKING WITH GOD BRINGS SUPERNATURAL PRESERVATION God preserved Enoch from corruption and death. A man who walks with God: Avoids unnecessary trouble Makes wiser decisions Discerns danger early Lives with divine protection Reflection Questions: 1. Am I consistent or only spiritual when I feel like it? 2. What disciplines must I strengthen? Prayer: Lord, teach me to walk with You every day without turning back. DAY 6 — DISCIPLINE: THE BACKBONE OF SPIRITUAL MANHOOD Building the Discipline That Shapes a Man Bible Readings: 1 Corinthians 9:24–27, Proverbs 25:28, 1 Timothy 4:7–8, Hebrews 12:5–11 Discipline is the difference between a man who desires success and a man who achieves it. The Bible often compares discipline to training for a race — intentional, painful, but rewarding. 1. DISCIPLINE PROTECTS A MAN FROM SELF-DESTRUCTION Proverbs 25:28 says: “A man without self-control is like a city broken down and without walls.” Without discipline, a man is vulnerable to: Lust Anger Laziness Mismanagement Wrong relationships Emotional instability A disciplined man becomes fortified. 2. DISCIPLINE IS REQUIRED FOR SPIRITUAL GROWTH Paul wrote: “Train yourself unto godliness...” (1 Timothy 4:7–8) Just like muscles grow with exercise, your spirit grows through: Prayer discipline Scripture discipline Financial discipline Moral discipline Emotional discipline Time management 3. DISCIPLINE PRODUCES MASTERY 1 Corinthians 9:24–27 teaches that winners are not just talented — they are trained. Paul says: “I discipline my body and bring it under subjection.” A man who cannot discipline himself cannot lead others. 4. DISCIPLINE TURNS BOYS INTO MEN Hebrews 12:5–11 explains that God disciplines His sons because He loves them. Discipline is not punishment — it is preparation. It shapes: Character Endurance Maturity Wisdom Stability 5. DISCIPLINE LEADS TO LASTING SUCCESS Successful men are not necessarily more gifted — they are more disciplined. Discipline makes your future predictable. Reflection Questions: 1. What areas in my life need urgent discipline? 2. Where has lack of discipline cost me before? Prayer: Lord, build in me the discipline needed to fulfill my destiny. DAY 7 — THE POWER OF GODLY CHARACTER The Foundation of Trust, Integrity, and Influence Bible Readings: Proverbs 11:3, Daniel 1:8–20, Psalm 15, Titus 2:6–8 Character is who you are when no one is watching. Godly men are known for the strength of their character , not the size of their achievements. 1. CHARACTER PROTECTS YOUR DESTINY Proverbs 11:3 warns: “The integrity of the upright shall guide them, but the crookedness of the treacherous destroys them.” Many promising men fall not because of lack of gifts, but lack of character. 2. DANIEL’S LIFE IS A MODEL FOR MEN Daniel 1:8 shows his resolve: “Daniel purposed in his heart...” Character begins with a decision, not emotion. God honored Daniel with: Wisdom Excellence Promotion Preservation Influence All because he maintained character under pressure. 3. CHARACTER EARNS RESPECT Psalm 15 describes the man who may dwell in God’s presence: Speaks truth Keeps promises Does not slander Refuses bribes Walks uprightly Such a man influences others without demanding respect. 4. CHARACTER STRENGTHENS YOUR WITNESS Titus 2:6–8 commands men to be: Sober-minded Sound in speech Worthy of respect A man’s words mean nothing if his actions contradict them. 5. CHARACTER IS BUILT DAILY You build character through: Small choices Daily habits Honest decisions Consistency Integrity in secrecy Character is not what you wish to be — it’s what you choose daily. Reflection Questions: 1. Would people trust my character if they knew my private life? 2. What habits are strengthening or weakening my integrity? Prayer: Lord, make me a man whose character pleases You.
