This ad blueprint has scaled a countless amount of dropshippers just like yourself to insane new heights. So let’s not waste anymore time and begin SCALING! Make sure to read whichever guide you pick in full. 2 Options: Paid Advertising or Free Advertising At B.O.B. Development we wanted to include everyone no matter if you’re a beginner with little to no budget, an intermediate with a medium sized budget and willing to spend a little on paid ads, or an experienced dropshipper that has already achieved some success. We have something for all of you. We will first go over the free option. If you want to dive straight into the goldmine that is TikTok ads, you can find that step by step guide right after the free advertising method. —---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Free Option) Advertising with TikTok Organic Page If you have no budget to spend on ads there is no need to worry. We’ve helped scale our clients to over $10,000 per week with organic TikTok content creation. The only requirements are a cell phone and an internet connection. Step 1: TikTok Account Creation This step should be pretty straight forward, make sure to keep the account as personal or creator to keep using all of the trending sounds that will help you throughout this process. Step 2: Upload Logo & Create an Engaging Bio Upload your logo to your TikTok account that you made or ordered from the shopify store setup. Then think of a nice and short headline for your bio that can grab the viewer's attention and get them to click on your link. You won’t be able to add a clickable link until you surpass 1,000 followers, but with our winning products and your consistency of posting videos you should hit that milestone in no time. Now there are three steps to creating an organic viral TikTok. 1. Filming or sourcing content for your video. 2. Editing the content with quick cuts to make it super engaging and giving it the potential to go viral on the explore page 3. Finding a viral sound to help boost your video. 1. Filming or sourcing content for your video. The option with the best potential is to order your product and film the content yourself, but don’t worry, if that’s not in your budget you can easily find content of your product on YouTube and TikTok. As long as you repurpose the content and make it your own sourcing content should still get you by for a long time. Search your product on YouTube and TikTok, and when you find good videos that showcase the products features and benefits save these videos for later. 2. Editing the content with quick cuts to make it super engaging and giving it the potential to go viral on the explore page Now it's time to compile your footage to make a killer ad. If you don’t have any paid editing software, you can use the TikTok app itself to make super engaging videos. Here’s a full tutorial on editing videos directly on TikTok. How to Edit a TikTok Video Then watch this video right after to learn how to make your videos super engaging and have the potential to hit the for you page and scale your store to insane numbers. How To Create High Converting UGC (Proven Formula) Shopify & TikTok Ads 3. Finding a viral sound to help boost your video. This is super simple, but immensely powerful. TikTok sounds are like stocks, the more the sound is used and goes viral, the bigger the chance you have of your video going viral. Watch this quick video to learn everything about finding a new trending audio for your video. How to find trending sounds for TikTok That’s it guys! Now you can take your new video you just made and post it right onto your brand new account. Just make sure to add a nice caption related to the video that can engage your viewers and a few hashtags. Examples: I can’t believe the [product name] did [x]! 🤩 I wish I found [product name] sooner, now i’m [product benefit] 🥳 With hashtags we’ve found that they don’t matter too too much, but at least put hashtags like: #fyp #foryou and you can also put 1 to 2 hashtags that relate to your product. For example if i'm selling tech accessories I could put: #tech #apple #gaming Step 4: Rinse & Repeat Congrats! You just started your dropshipping journey, all with no money spent on ads. We recommend repeating these steps and posting at least 2-3 videos per day to start getting some good traffic to your store. If you don’t see results right away, don’t panic, just keep posting videos no matter what. All it takes is a little compounding and one or two of your videos to hit the for you page for your brand to really get traction and generate tons of sales. How to Make a TikTok Ads Manager Account Step 2: Create & Connect Your TikTok Pixel This video will show exactly how to create and connect your pixel right to your shopify store Install TikTok Pixel For Shopify [The Right Way] Step 3: Creating Your First Ad Campaign On the campaign level hit Create Then follow this setup: Advertising objective: Website conversions Give the campaign a name and everything else can stay the way it is. Hit continue to go to the ad group level, from there copy these settings: TikTok Pixel: Select your pixel you connected to your store Optimization event: Complete payment Placements: Automatic placements Targeting: Leave it the way it is, broad targeting is still the best way to scale on TikTok. If your product is only geared for a certain gender or age group, you can then choose these to your liking. We still recommend going fully broad though. Split test if you need to. Budget: We recommend starting with a daily budget of $50-$100 for the ad group budget. Any less won’t be as effective to get the results you need to see if you need to make changes or continue testing. You can leave everything else the way it is. Hit continue to go to the ad level, from there copy these settings: Set custom identity: Upload your store logo and type in your store name Ad Creative: Singe video, and upload your creative Text: Add a engaging headline to persuade viewers to click on your ad and add urgency/scarcity Examples: 50% Off + Free Shipping 50% Off + Free Shipping Today Only! I can’t believe [product name] did [x]! Buy 1 Get 1 Free Today Only! URL: Enter your shopify store URL (product page URL, not home page) Call to action: Standard, Shop Now Then click submit and your ad will be reviewed then go live! Step 4: Scaling Blueprint Our scaling strategy is almost too simple and works time and time again for any product or niche. Get ready to reach insane numbers with your winning product. After the first day of spend, analyze these metrics to decide whether you need to test some more or begin scaling your ads. Metrics to verify before scaling: At the end of the first day of your ad running review these metrics before scaling your ads: CPM: CPM is cost per 1,000 impressions (how much you are spending for every 1,000 people that see your ad). Make sure that this is in the range of $7-15, any higher than this can be a sign that your creative may not be engaging enough and it may need some small tweaks. If your CPM is lower than $7 then your creative is killing it and may have high potential to scale. CTR: CTR is your click through rate (the amount of users who clicked on your ad divided by the total impressions). For example, if your ad got 1,000 impressions and 10 people clicked on the ad your CTR would be 1%. Make sure your CTR is above 1.5%. 1% is still doable and may need more time to test, but 1.5% should be your goal. If your CTR is lower than 1% then your call to action was not motivating enough for users to click shop now. If your CTR is higher than 1.5% then your creative is super persuasive and engaging. CVR: CVR is conversion rate (the amount of users who purchased on your store divided by your total clicks). Make sure your CVR is 1% or above, any lower and you could start to become unprofitable. If your CVR is below 1% your traffic may not be of good quality. If this is the case you may want to re edit your ad and add more key details about the product so TikTok can optimize properly and show your ad to the correct audience. Bad Metrics Troubleshoot: If your metrics are not matching these levels, then you can try to re edit your creative with faster transitions and try to make the words more engaging and add urgency. Your hook is everything, make sure the first 2 seconds show the product and immediately show some sort of problem your customer may be having or a benefit your product can provide. Each clip should be around 2-3 seconds maximum. Make sure your call to action is clear (“Click shop now to [product benefit]) Re submit your ad with your new creative, and repeat this process until your ad is performing well. If your metrics match these standards then it’s time to SCALE SCALE SCALE! Our Scaling Strategy: If your metrics are looking good and you are profitable, then let the campaign spend for another full day (2 days total) to verify these results. You want 100% conviction before starting your scale process. After day 2 and your sales are consistent, duplicate your ad group into the existing campaign. To duplicate hover over the ad group name and hit copy, then leave it in the existing campaign and click duplicate: This will create an exact copy of your campaign so if your first ad group was set at $100 per day your total budget will now be at $200 per day. Also called horizontal scaling. Wait another 2 days and if things are still looking good and you are profitable, duplicate the ad group again and rinse and repeat for about a week. If after this point you are still profitable you can start changing the budget of each ad group directly, for example making the $100 a day budget to $200, also known as vertical scaling. TikTok creatives are known to die out very quickly, so don’t get too excited and rely on this winning creative. We recommend creating new creatives every 1-2 days, as well as scaling your winning ones with the strategy above. And you can apply the same strategy above to every creative you create. If one creative does not perform then read our bad metrics trouble shoot guide above. All it takes is repeating this process over and over again. Keep testing new creatives and scaling the ones that work. This will easily take your store to $1k per day, $10k per day, and even potentially higher. Remember consistency is key and this ad strategy may seem super simple and basic, but we have found that keeping it simple is what works. And that if you have a good product, site, and offer which we have already provided you, then your ads setup is not as crucial as these 3 factors. If you are not getting the results you are looking for remember to keep trying, repetition creates success and we know this from experience.
