MIGUEL RIBERA PARK HOSTED BY THE For many, Nevada is home because we were born here. But for refugees, Nevada becomes home because they're forced to flee hostile occupation, religious persecution or the complete destruction of their former lives. In honor of World Refugee Day (June 20), an international day of recognition for refugees across the globe orchestrated by the United Nations, Northern Nevada International Center invites the public to Miguel Ribera Park on Saturday, June 18 to celebrate and highlight the cultures of those making Nevada their new home. Join event organizers and collaborators as an event sponsor so that together we can connect refugees with resources and support and come together as neighbors, friends and Nevadans.
