Closing date: 5th Nove mber 202 1 Role: Escape Room Gamesmaste r We are looking for Gamesmaste r s for Padlo x Escape Rooms The position s will be on a 6 - month freelanc e basi s , then we are looking to make these positi on s permanent We wo uld like to recruit a tea m of 2 - 3 G amesmasters to be based at Pa dlo x ’s main venue - 1 Carpet Lane , Edinburgh There will also be occasional work running our mo bile esca pe room at events and wedding s Job descriptio n Gamesmaste r responsibilitie s • W elcome customers and act as host, representing Padlox positively and professionall y • H andle customer payment s • D eliver pre - game briefings, including housekeeping and general introduction to escape game s , as well a s game - specific ‘storyline’ briefings, in c haracte r • M onito r players ’ progres s during games , and resol v e gameplay issue s • B e responsible for fire safety, health and safet y , and cleanlines s , a t Padlox premise s • Manag e customer communicatio n promptly and professionall y • Overse e customer bookings, res pon d in g to enquiries by phone, email and walk - in s • Control t he bookings calenda r • Keep financial record s up to dat e • U pd ate the Padlox websit e , an d social med ia presence including Facebook and Instagram accoun t s • Contribute to game/puzzle improvement and design • Help with marketing activities • E xternal events: In addition to the above, driv e Padlox van to locations across Scotland, set up mobile escape games, and coordinate custom er game times, often under pressure Also coordinate t h e b o o king process and relationships with customers and event venue contacts Would suit someone who : • Is fri endly, o utgoin g , creativ e , p rofessiona l , organise d and enjoys problem solvin g • Can stay focussed under pressur e • Has a ful l , clean UK driver s licence (although not essential ) Working patter n and rat e : • Core hours : Saturday s • Opt ion to take on additional ad hoc shifts/project s on other days/time s • £ 1 1 /hou r For more information please email us a t padloxgames@gmail.co m To apply, please email us your CV and a covering letter or video to padloxgames@gmail.co m explaining how your skills and experience match the job description
