Work History I am currently completing my PGCE at Roehampton University. My second placement is at Chiswick School, where I now teach S panish (KS3 and 4), French (KS3) and assist at Form Time with a Year 8 class. In my first school placement I taught Italian (KS3) and had some observational experience of (KS5) Spanish. In summary, I am fluent in Spanish and Italian and conversant in Frenc h to KS4. Prior to changing career, I spent over 20 years speaking Spanish, Italian and French in the private sector as a Procurement Director and Commercial Manager and I have an excellent cultural understanding and appreciation of all three languages. In my training placements I have had valuable experience of SEND pupils, disengagement, behaviour management and stretching and challenging pupils to do even better. All my classes require thorough differentiation of work to support various levels of ability and learning styles. I am comfortable supporting pupils who have diverse learning needs (84% of my current placement school’s pupils have English as an additional language). More recently, I have assisted the MFL department with GCSE marking moderation an d I am fully aware of curriculum and examination requirements in my subjects.
