SANTA’S 2025 NAUGHTY LIST NOTICE This naughtiness notice is to inform Delaware North of their place on Santa’s 2025 Naughty List. As the fourth-largest U.S. foodservice provider, Delaware North serves millions of guests in venues across the country, from restaurants to sports stadiums. The company’s actions have a direct and significant impact on our environment. Unfortunately, Delaware North claims to be an “environmental steward” committed to “helping make the world a better place,” yet their menus miss the mark on plant-based dishes—items that are kind to animals and the planet The following food facts have landed Delaware North on the 2025 Naughty List: 1. Delaware North claims to focus on “ conserving water .” Yet it takes an estimated 1,852 gallons of water to produce one pound of beef and only 196 gallons to produce one pound of black beans. Every day in the United States, animal agriculture uses two billion gallons of fresh water. 2. Delaware North claims to focus on “ eliminating waste .” However, it takes between seven and 55 pounds of feed to produce just one pound of animal meat. Of the world’s agricultural land, 75% is dedicated to animal agriculture. 3. Delaware North claims to focus on “ reducing energy consumption .” But animal products account for 57% of agriculture’s global carbon footprint while providing only 17% of the world’s calories I am calling on Delaware North’s CEOs to make a meaningful commitment to increasing plant- based offerings , a necessary part of any serious climate-mitigation strategy.
