After waking up, they seem to be the only surviving persons. After their strange journey through the bare Tokyo, their destiny seems to call out once more for them. 4 Haruhi was an open girl Whose heart was open Whose soul was like a whirl Everyone got sucked in And twist like a curl One day she woke up And saw the dawn of the dark She had a nighttime job And rubbed her dry skin which was like bark She took a shower Put on some make up Ready for her job Steady to have no doubt She did not like her job particularly Did not think It'd suck She saw a small insect And squashed the bug Wrote a small text message To say she'd be late Not knowing the outcome Not knowing her impeding fate A few minutes later She left her tiny apartment Not knowing the gift That some God had sent As long as she was able She'd pay the rent For the rules to tarnish For the laws to perish For society to bent She sat in the the train ... Thought about her life She'd thought she'd go insane Her life fragile Her ambitions mundane She arrived at her work place In a love hotel Where she worked as a receptionist Where people would come who had fell In love on the first sight She was all alone And had no future big and bright The work began ... Some couples came Some couples went Then two people would come! Where she'd thought some God had them sent A certain Shinji And a certain Daiichi 5 Two handsome men Without many words She was an instant fan They'd pay respect Wanted to leave for the tram And entered the hotel room And Haruhi only thought ... She thought: When will I meet my husband. Concluded with one single word: When. We rewind a bit back ... Back to Shinji its eve Where he left his apartment Where he wanted to leave It was a good neighborhood Little problems Little crime He felt it would be a special night Now was his time! He walked down the street And met his boyfriend He felt it was special Like some God had him sent Both met in a restaurant Where the smells have been bent Both men hugged Acted shy Shinji said: You still won't act openly. Daiichi: Can't deny. Shinji: You look lovely. Daiichi: My tailor made it for me. Shinji: Black and yellow accents. Daiichi: I know. Like a bumble bee. Shinji ordered Apple Cola Daiichi a cup of tea Shinji asked: How did your mom react? Daiichi sighed: She can't get over it. Shinji:: Really? 6 Daiichi: I think she despise me in fact. Shinji: Don't say thinks like that. Daiichi: Hey! I try to keep the relationship with my mother intact. Shinji: What I respect. Daiichi: My father accepts it. I wonder why. Shinji: He is more relaxed. Daiichi: Can't deny. Both ate a small dinner Drank something too Both men left And passed by the zoo Ready for their activities Both men had things to do We rewind a bit back once again ... Now to Daiichi Who was on a hunt! The hunt for a certain key He lost it And phoned his landlord Listened to some music And enjoyed the fading accord He was walking through a burrough And was looking for the key But all that was Was he had nothing to see He was certain The keys were gone If it wasn't The data chip he had on it one Date related to his job! He was a broker And came out on top Had a reason to frown And two reasons to sob To relax a bit He went to his favorite massage shop And phoned While being rubbed He said: I lost it, sorry, Mr Kazekawa. 7 Apologized further: It was a train station! People, tourists, robbers come from wide and far! Let's rewind a last time ... There was a photographer Who felt joyful and fine He took photos Of an old tree Bowed down to it And paid respect Which was key He roamed the streets He roamed the riverbanks Went by a stand Replied respectfully: No, thanks. But bought some takoyaki nonetheless It tasted delicious! It was a fest He sat next to a river Took some photographs Thought about torturing his liver Or simply taking a baths His phone rang He hung up Asked: Moshi, moshi? Mother: What, son? Luke: It means I answered the phone. What is it, mom? Both talked for quite some time Thanksgiving was soon His father died And knew of her mother's doom She had a new partner He was named Clint Luke did not like him He looked like someone who repeatedly sinned! It was probably his imagination He was probably a nice guy He hung up And let out a sigh It began to rain And Luke roamed Tokyo Did not speak the language Only his hair got wet His mighty afro 8 He just read: hotel And needed a place to rest Now knowing ... The Gods will put him to test Haruhi explained with bare English skills ... Said: This is love hotel. We not singles. Luke tried his bare Japanese skills too: Room. One. Not two. Haruhi took her ultraphone Spoke into it The translator translated; Luke had no room and felt like shit ... Then the earth shook! It was a loud earthquake! The walls crumbled It was horrifying And not fake And suddenly ... Haruhi, Shinhi, Daiichi and Luke All stood in the rubble Almost dead! Luke asked: Is everyone okay? Haruhi: Yes. Shinji held up Daiichi And said yes too Luke: The firefighters and whatnot will be here soon. We will wait. And he sat down Trying to call But for some apparent reason His ambition did fall He had no signal He asked himself: Shall? And mumbled loudly: I cannot make a call. Haruhi spoke to Shinji But only in Japanese Luke secretly opened his translation app And had a big scratch on his belly Haruhi made fun of him! Because he was slightly obese 9 Luke: I can understand you. Haruhi just smiled Luke tried to stay friendly He really, really tried! The Japanese talked The translator app could not translate that fast So, Luke got up Like he was in charge Or otherwise in power Otherwise in this carnage Luke: Hey, I am Luke. Who are you? Daiichi: We both speak English. I am Daiichi. He is my fiance Shinji. Luke: Luke, Luke Warner. Haruhi spoke to Daiichi Still in Japanese Luke got annoyed: I am not angry. Simply teased. Luke: Who is she? Daiichi: Her name is Haruhi. Luke offered his hand Haruhi looked riddled Then he bowed! She looked fiddled Bowed back Luke said: Konnichi-wa. Haruhi giggled Luke asked: Wasn't that good day? Daiichi: It is night time. We say: gonban-wa. Luke: Sorry. He rubbed the back of his head Haruhi: He funny. Luke looked a bit perplexed Uttered: With that being said. 10 He looked around: Why are there no Fed? Haruhi, Daiichi and Shinji were talking to each other Luke tried angrily To call his mother But ... He had no signal And he'd thought he'd seen his brother Luke: You guys, where is the Japanese emergency unit? Shinji shrugged his shoulders Daiichi tried to reason Said: We have no clue. We need to find some help. Luke replied: I feel like a newborn whelp. Haruhi giggled: He funny. Luke exhaled He walked into the street There was no sound Of walking feet No one was there Not one single soul Luke thought: What a foul. Went back to the other three Said happily: We are dead. Congratulations. No one to see. Luke crossed his arms Tried to translate Said annoyed: You guys, sorry. I am sorry. I am not Japanese. Could you tell me what you are talking about? Shinji and Haruhi talked on Daiichi did loose himself from the little crowd He said to Luke: This is an old legend. Of a modern curse. Where you become a ghost. And hit the fate of it the worst. Luke: A curse? Daiichi: Yes. 11 Luke: Nonsense. The other fled, and we did not notice. Shinji came to both: This is senseless. Haruhi: We dead. Luke: No, we are not “dead”. We will find some help. Someone will tell us what is going on. All four began to walk on ... Luke wondered Where the others were from Kyoto or Hokkaido Wherever it was; it was a shit show Luke monologued a bunch of things ... Haruhi could not stop giggling All four wandered a deserted Tokyo It was like demons were singing Luke: This is a show, right? A Japanese TV show. I know you. You like this kind of stuff. Haruhi: No show. This rough. Daiichi: Luke, right? Luke: Yes. Daiichi: Luke. This is no TV show. This is probably some sort of afterlife. Luke: Stop. That. Shinji: Indeed, honey. Why are there no Fed? Daiichi: I don't know. All four roamed the deserted Tokyo All on their own All four roamed the forsaken Tokyo All alone ... There was no one Not one single thing It was like a nightmare ... and suddenly someone was singing! Luke: You hear that? Haruhi: Suzumiya Senzuka. Luke: Who? Daiichi: An idol. 12 Luke: What is an idol? A role model? A successful person with influence? Haruhi giggled girly Daiichi: A popular singer. The music got louder Luke thought it was a bringer! A beautiful voice Where the dark would loom and linger A shadow crept along the wall! And the singing got louder! Haruhi crept up to Luke, said: Save. Luke: Haruhi. Behave. Shinji: This is insanity. Luke: This is a level of hell. We need survive ability. Then the idol appeared in front of them! Sang her song Luke found it charming Thought nothing was wrong Luke: Hey, hey! Where are the others? The voice sang on Louder and clearer She drew a knife! And Luke got fever He yelled: DAMN! And ran with the others! Right into the idol her arms She said coldly: Always twice the charms. She was about to stab him! And turned into a shadow Crept along the wall It was a creepy show The singing returned And finally! A voice! 13 It said out loudly: You are four. I will leave with a choice. Who wants to die first? Who has a deadly thirst? Haruhi: Not dying. Shinji went forward, asked: Why are we here? What is going on? Shadow: This is a level of hell. Luke said it out loud: Now we've got a story to tell. Shadow: I am a ghost of vengeance. I punish your sins. Luke: Oh ... The shadow manifested itself as Luke his mother Luke: No ... Mother: I am here to bring you to God. And lifted a knife Mother: The God downstairs. And the knife vanished And it appeared a phone She said: Call me. It shrieked: But no one is home. The shadow disappeared Daiichi to Shinji: I – NO! Shinji got stabbed The blood ... It flood ... Onto the street Daiichi could do nothing But loudly weep The singing voice faded It did disappear Luke took his jacket And put it onto the dead body of Daiichi its peer Luke: I am sorry. 14 Daiichi, angrily: You have no idea! Luke: I did not know him, correct. Haruhi said something in Japanese Both began to pray Both began to please Both began to pay Luke: We must find out what is going on. Concluded: Where does this nonsense come from ... ? The three remaining people Luke assumed the worst Said: Someone will kill us all. Daiichi: It's like we are trapped in a never-ending phone call. Haruhi said something in Japanese Luke asked for a translation Daiichi replied: It has nothing to do with our nation. Luke: What does she mean? Daiichi: Something higher has chosen us. Luke had no answer ... Did not wanted to make a fuzz All three walked through a lost Tokyo Through the streets with no name Luke wondered in his mind If someone pulled of an art trick Or the government! To drive someone insane His head was spinning His soul was ringing Then! Someone! Someone stood there! Luke was happy as hell; that this afterlife seemed fair ... The person stood with his head lowered ... Did something of growling Of grunting too Haruhi warned: Not closer. 15 Luke: He is our way out. And wanted to approach Slowly got closer! And he'd thought he'd seen a cockroach Luke: Hey. Hey. It began to gurgle Sounded like a fish Lifted his arm! Luke had only one single wish ... Luke: Hey, where are we? Are you about to reveal? The person lifted his head He looked pale Looked like the skin was coming off Luke noticed it too late: This is rough. The person grabbed his skull! Tried to bite him! Luke got scared; yelled some inaudible thing ... Daiichi took a stone! Knocked the person out! Luke said agitated: A zombie! Daiichi: Let's get out! All three walked off The zombie got up again Luke yelled: Shit! SHIT! SHIT! And they three ran from the zombie Through the empty Tokyo! Luke just hoped Yelled: What a friggin reality show! They hid in a bar Under the bar The zombie entered Growling Grunting Gurgling from afar It sniffed and coughed 16 Our three heroes were scared to death The zombie left Luke said: This show is heft! All three hid under the counter Luke could not process Said frightened: This is hell! More – or less! Daiichi: I begin to think the same Haruhi said something in Japanese Luke did not understand And this made it feel like a tease Daiichi: Let's get out. Luke: There. Is. A. Zombie! Daiichi: And now it is gone. Luke: Good luck out there. Daiichi: You stay here? Alone? Haruhi: One! Luke shook his head Leaned against the wood Said quietly: This is not how it should – Daiichi: It is never how it would – Haruhi: I go. She left the bar Daiichi wanted to follow Luke felt like an empty shell Fragile and hollow Luke: Wait. Daiichi! Wait! Daiichi: What is it? We can't let her go alone! Luke: I know. Daiichi: Then come. No need to frown. 17 Both men left Haruhi stood in awe There was a gigantic monster! A monster from afar! Haruhi pointed at it: Gojira. Luke: Shadows, zombies – and now Godzilla. Are we part of a video game now?! Daiichi: Who knows. Luke exhaled Said: Maybe we are in a matrix. Only versions of horror shows. The monster came closer! All three ran in vain! Luke yelled: My stomach hurts! Agh, the pain! He had to stop Haruhi ran on Vanished in the distance While Daiichi helped him up Luke slowly went insane Said: We have to kill ourselves. We are in some sort of Limbo. Daiichi: But why are we three? Luke: For a maniac for us to suffer; to see. Both humped along the road Haruhi was gone ... Luke wondered Where she came from Said: Maybe she the key to everything. Daiichi: Don't be silly. Luke: You are right. Daiichi: She is only shy. And – yes – her voice is a bit shrilly. Both men walked the streets of unknown Tokyo Where there was no man ... Daiichi tried to stay calm Luke was indeed no big fan 18 Luke: Daiichi. This is the afterlife. And there is a challenge to it. Daiichi: What do you know? Luke: Nothing. Daiichi: Ah, no shit?! Luke: Sorry ... Daiichi: No, don't be. Luke: This only happens in my mind. Daiichi: But why am I here? Luke: No idea. Daiichi: And that is key. Both men sat on a bench No words were left to say Two men ... In utter silence And night turned to day The sun went up The whole city shined in chrome Luke theorized They were under a dome Daiichi found it funny A whole mega city for two men to roam! And suddenly a voice! Luke asked: You hear that? Daiichi: My stomach? Luke: No. He got up Seemed to see something in the distance Looked in awe Like his soul had a chance Voice: I am ... I am ... I ... follow ... rivers. Daiichi: I heard that! 19 Luke: Maybe the Gods are calling! And then ... Rain began falling Both men soaking wet Luke uttered: With that being said ... Both arrived at the river ... And followed its flow Luke complained: I swear to you, Daiichi. I hope this is no television show. Daiichi: Killing someone is no entertainment. Luke: What if this is a show? Daiichi: Maybe you are the devil hell has sent. Luke growled Did not react Suddenly! There was music! In fact ... Luke: You hear that? Daiichi: Music, yes. Luke: Maybe we are not alone! Daiichi: This is like my hobby. Chess. Luke: What do you mean? Daiichi: We have to make the right move. More – or less. Both were riddles where the music was coming from And Luke his mind It weighed a ton He knew the melody Knew the song He prepared for the afterlife Being in such a situation Only meant That the Gods could be wrong Daiichi: Where does the music come from? Voice: I ... follow ... rivers. 20
