SYDNEY KINGS INTERN COACH (VOLUNTARY POSITION) Program Details The coaching intern positions will run the length of the 2023-2024 preseason and season (August 2023 - March 2024). The chosen candidates will be based at the Kings’ training facilities in Auburn,Olympic Park and Moore Park. Candidates will be expected to commit 15-20 hours to the Kings program per week. Duties will include, but are not limited to: - Use Sportscode to assist with the coding and filming of practice and games - Assist in the gathering, organisation and implementation of statistical data - Assist the coaches with on court coaching of players in individual and group environments - Assist in the setup and pack-up of practice and game operations - Assist in warmup and recovery when needed Ideal Candidate Attributes : - A strong interest in professional basketball coaching and analytics. - A working knowledge of Hudl Sportscode, Synergy and Hudl. - A working knowledge of Microsoft office, in particular Microsoft Excel. - An experienced background in basketball coaching with a deep understanding of basketball concepts and principles (ideally has Level 2 Coaching Accreditation). - Is punctual, committed, organised, honest, hard working and kind. The chosen candidate will receive tremendous experience working in a professional basketball environment. Moreover, they will be exposed to all areas of the coaching and performance department and given the opportunity to gain practical experience in professional sport.
