The alarm clock on my iphone 11 pro rang. Ugh, is it 9 am already? I can hardly tell what 60 minute hour of the day it is these days, what with the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic being the new worldwide sensation. Hip as ever, I snap my paper face mask around my ears and wash my hands in the sink using a plentiful water supplied by my local government. “Everyone wake up,” I text the Group Chat on my Facebook profile, “We are all working from home after Donald Trump, the current president, ordered a shelter in place order.” “Those who still have work,” my hilarious friend Erica cracked, “30 million Americans have filed unemployment claims since Mid-March.” We all laughed by posting memes, saved from the internet using wifi, to the Group Chat. Thinking over this satircial take from my fellow “Millennial” group chat chum, I couldn’t help but laugh I powered up my 13-inch Macbook Pro with a healthy grin. It is Monday, so I download brand new episodes of my three favorite podcasts: the Joe Rogan Experience, The Daily from the New York Times and Unlocking Us with Brené Brown. I love listening to Podcasts, especially downloading them from the internet using Wifi. They are fun to hear, and the talk of the town at Zoom cocktail parties these days. “Heard the news, fam?” Joe Rogan regaled, “current President Trump is discussing possible cures to the Coronavirus. This fellow is daft--I’m sure he will die of old age and not by shooting himself in the face on Air Force One. This coronavirus is all the rage these days...” Using wifi, I open my Twitter app account. I’ve got to type Joe Rogans name into the search bar. If I can find his twitter app account profile, maybe I can retweet today’s episode of the podcast to my followers. Social media is just the tip top of all hip things for now and everyone enjoys it. If the president were to shoot himself in the face on Air Force One, I would most likely learn of this on my twitter application and then tell my grandkids about it in 2071 during Outside Week. Ah, there it is. My wifi completed a search of the Twitter app and magically transported me to the Joe Rogans page and I’m in luck--Mr. Rogan tweeted out todays stellar topical episode. I’ve got to retweet it and fast. Here goes my thumb to “touch” the screen of that iPhone 11 pro I just can’t seem to stop talking about. This thing can really cook! And that’s when, just my luck but in the other direction of before, my iPhone 11 Pro up and “dies” on me (the battery needs to be charged using a plug in a wall energy source). Oh, well... That’s just the way things are these days.
