What is going on in Kulturskolen – the Norwegian municipal school of music and performing arts? And what is the relation between the activities in the practice field and research?Kulturskolen is a type of school dependent on cooperation with others – kindergardens, primary and secondary schools, voluntary and professional cultural life, higher education and nonprofit organizations. The field of research related to Kulturskolen is similarly diverse; including both educational research, artistic research and organizational research.This anthology is the result of IRISforsk, a research group linked to the development project for kulturskole named IRIS. The IRIS-project was executed in collaboration between The Norwegian Council for Schools of Music and Performing Art and The Savings Bank Foundation DNB/Dextra Musica, and ran from 2014 to 2016. The anthology includes 13 chapters, eight of which are scientific papers evaluated by external peer-review. Contributors in the anthology are affiliated with five different educational institutions. The chapters discuss and visualize the scope of music and art school related research, including didactics, professional-oriented and management-focused issues, as well as organizational cooperation, talent development and culture as a tool for inclusion. The anthology targets anyone with an interest in research and development in the music and art school related field – researchers, staff and students in artistic education, teacher education and management education, as well as teachers, managers and other practitioners in the field.

Seit ihrer Gründung haben die Europäischen Gemeinschaften für die einzelnen Mitgliedstaaten immer mehr an Bedeutung gewonnen. Die Einbindung der föderativ aufgebauten Bundesrepublik Deutschland in die Europäischen Gemeinschaften wirft eine Reihe von Finanzausgleichsproblemen auf, die nicht zuletzt durch die zunehmende Verlagerung von Aufgaben auf die Gemeinschaftsebene und den wachsenden Haushalt der Gemeinschaften immer drängender geworden sind. In der vorliegenden Arbeit werden diese Probleme anhand der ökonomischen Kriterien der Föderalismustheorie systematisch identifiziert und Lösungsansätze aufgezeigt. Dabei werden sowohl Aspekte der Beziehungen der Europäischen Gemeinschaften zur Bundesrepublik Deutschland insgesamt als auch die Auswirkungen der europäischen Integration auf den deutschen Finanzausgleich behandelt.

This book is a collection of 13 innovative papers describing the state of the art and the future perspectives in solid-phase extraction covering several analytical fields prior to the use of gas or liquid chromatographic analysis. New sorptive materials are presented including carbon nanohorn suprastructures on paper support, melamine sponge functionalized with urea–formaldehyde co-oligomers, chiral metal–organic frameworks, UiO-66-based metal–organic frameworks, and fabric phase sorptive media for various applications. Solid-phase extraction can be applied in several formats aside from the conventional cartridges or mini-column approach, e.g., online solid-phase extraction, dispersive solid-phase microextraction, and in-syringe micro-solid-phase extraction can be very helpful for analyte pre-concentration and sample clean-up. Polycyclic musks in aqueous samples, 8-Nitroguanine in DNA by chemical derivatization antibacterial diterpenes from the roots of salvia prattii, perfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) in aater samples by bamboo charcoal-based SPE, parabens in environmental water samples, benzotriazoles as environmental pollutants, organochlorine pesticide residues in various fruit juices and water samples and synthetic peptide purification are among the applications cited in this collection. All these outstanding contributions highlight the necessity of this analytical step, present the advantages and disadvantages of each method and focus on the green analytical chemistry guidelines that have to be fulfilled in current analytical practices.
