JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Membership Officer (Digital) LOCATION: Birmingham RESPONSIBLE TO: Operations and Governance Manager CONTRACT: 31 August 2022 (with possibility of extension subject to funding) HOURS: Full Time (40 hours) SALARY: £28,000 per annum BENEFITS: 25 days annual leave + 8 public holidays (pro-rata) Contributory pension scheme Job Overview The Membership Officer (Digital) will support Associate Membership acquisition, engagement and conversion. Helping grow our digital capabilities and offer including supporting development of our website. The role will involve working across a range of projects to create visibility and demonstrate impact. It will include but not be limited to creating content for social media posts, research pulse surveys, newsletters and blogs. As Membership Officer (Digital) you will: ▪ Develop and deliver digital strategies to attract new Associate Members and benefit existing members ▪ Oversee our website development and performance ▪ Process Associate Membership applications and analyse membership trends ▪ Be responsible for Associate Membership administration including being the first point of contact for Associate Membership queries ▪ Provide input to the development of our CRM and payment gateway ▪ Support delivery of Associate Membership events including online delivery to our members such as webinars ▪ Support our research team with drafting pulse surveys, social media polls/content to help gain key insight into target audiences ▪ Collaborate with the Projects team and Marketing team to create and share digital content to support and promote our projects ▪ Working with the projects team to help create content for newsletters, blogs, and manage project e-alerts, website posts and support project comms activities ▪ Support the development of our digital volunteering offer GENERAL ▪ To undertake any other relevant duties that may be required from time to time in light of the purpose of the post and its level of responsibility PERSONAL SPECIFICATION The post holder will be able to demonstrate the following skills, abilities, knowledge and experience; QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION 1. Educated to Degree Level or relevant experience. 2. Several years of relevant experience in the digital field SKILLS AND ABILITIES 1. High level of copywriting and experience digital content development including drafting blogs, newsletters and social media posts 2. A deep understanding of social strategy and engagement across a range of digital platforms 3. Strong communication skills with the ability to work in a team to gather information, content and meet project deadlines 4. Some design and editing skills and competency on software which supports digital and newsletter content development 5. Ability to manage information, systems and processes 6. Ability to analyse data and produce reports KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE 1. Experience and use of online systems such as MailChimp and Survey Monkey 2. Experience of using a CRM system 3. Experience of website management 4. Familiarity and proven experience of digital content creation 5. The ability to disseminate key messages form research information and distil this through digital coverage 6. Engaging and high-quality written ability 7. Some knowledge and understanding of the issues related to sports participation of ethnic diverse communities 8. Knowledge of managing information and data including knowledge of data protection policies 9. Experience in coordinating volunteers or groups of people PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES 1.
