STRATEGIC PLANNING SUMMIT Sunday Nov 1st 11:30am pray. plan. process. STRATEGIC PLANNING SUMMIT AGENDA 11:30am Let's eat! 12:00pm Session 1: Creating Culture Together 12:30pm Session 2: How We Do Things Here (Values) 1:00pm Session 3: See What God Sees (Mission) 1:30pm Session 4: Making Disciples 2:00pm Dismissed Thank you for partnering with your TCAB Leadership Team to gather around the BIG PICTURE! In reality, our strategy was set long ago and is summarized in The Great Commission as lived out by The Great Commandments. Let’s begin to pray and process, really talk about what this looks like for us. Feel free to ask the tough questions and let’s not settle for the easy answers (see Jacob in Genesis 32:22-32) as we move forward together in a quest to make disciples who make disciples of Jesus Christ! pray. plan. process. Session One: Creating Culture Together The culture we create (choose and allow) will trump everything else. Besides COVID, why haven’t/aren’t people coming back or really planning on coming back to church in the BIG PICTURE nationwide? What does this mean for us in very practical ways? In other words, should we wait and react or be forward thinking and acting by faith? Given these realities… how important is it to continue to unify (staff & elders decisions), clarify (staff/elder/team roles), simplify (processes) and streamline (communication)? What will it look like to shift from insider (centralized) to outsider focus (decentralized)? How will saying “NO” to many good ideas empower us to say “YES” to God’s ideal for us? Let’s pray about this together… Session Two: How We Do Things VALUES What TCAB is saying through the Values Survey (sent out last week): What are some Values we need to and can improve on? What are some Values that are important to you? Let’s pray about this together… Session Three: Seeing What God Sees MISSION/VISION God has something specific and unique for us to BE and DO! What kinds of local church Missions inspire you? (Church planting, homeless ministry, sending missionaries, multi-site church, counseling center, schools, etc) What are/will be the greatest needs in Manatee County? How will we see what God sees and get it done? See Matthew 7:7 Asking (Praying & Processing) Seeking (Experienced Wisdom and Planning) and Knocking (Engaging TCAB Family & Friends & Community) We believe and say, “The Church is not a building!” So, how is our present property (and meeting in larger corporate gatherings) strategic to fulfilling the mission of the church now and in the future? In the eyes of the lost of this community, what is the current view of this property? In what way would we like that view to change in the future (aligning with God's vision, of course)? Let’s pray about this together… Session Four: Making Disciples MAKING DISCIPLES WHO MAKE DISCIPLES OF JESUS Let’s face it, hoping guests come back because we said, “Thanks for coming! Hope you come back!” doesn’t work. And, telling new believers, “Read your Bible and pray and we’ll see you next Sunday!” doesn’t cut it! Making disciples who make disciples is a purposed and relational process. "New Followers Training" is fundamental while leveraging the power of relationships (mentoring & group). What is a Growth Track for new members and how important is it? (please note: we'd have to go through it first as a leadership; we can't take others to a place we haven't been) How important do you feel home groups/clusters are/will be to the future church given the direction of the world, nation and overall culture? Let’s pray about this together… THANK YOU FOR ENGAGING IN THIS EXPERIENCE WITH US TODAY!
