5 Simple Ways to Bond with Your Child through Baking Hi! I'm Shauna Steeple! Have you been thinking how you can create memories in the kitchen, but the stress of it all gets to you? No worries, here are some tips to help you let go of the control and start bonding with your child! Share the batter together: We all know that taste testing is important, and delicious! So grab a spoon and enjoy. Choose a recipe together: Kids feel empowered when they make choices. And choosing one together helps ensure that both of you will like the end result. Pour the batter into the pan together: You hold the bowl, and they can scrape it out. Or if your child is older and stronger, you can switch! Help your child measure, but don't take over: Kids love learning and being independent, but they can feel defeated when they aren't given a chance. Be patient and guide them. Make a mess: Kids are messy. Baking is messy. It's okay! Relax, and lean into the mess. Bonus- you get to teach your child how to clean up too! Want More Free Stuff?
