At no charge to you, enjoy the comfort of knowing your accounts are secure. The table below shows which transactions are affected when a lockdown is put in place. When in place, the lockdown will help to ensure that money cannot be transferred from your accounts to other accounts at Fidelity or to external institutions. Transactions protected Transactions not affected Outbound money transfers* Deposits or Transfers into your Fidelity accounts Transfers between Fidelity accounts Checkwriting and Direct Debit Transfer of Shares and Assets to another institution Debit card/ATM transactions Individual Withdrawals Trading Scheduled Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) or Personal Withdrawal Scheduled Plan BillPay * Previously scheduled electronic fund transfers from your account may still be processed. Why would I lock down my accounts? There are many reasons you may want to consider locking down your accounts. For instance, you may be traveling and have no plans to transfer money out of your account for a certain period of time; you may be concerned that your identity data or login credentials have been compromised; or you may simply want an extra layer of security that could be provided by suspending outgoing transfers from your accounts. How does this work? You are in control of locking and unlocking your accounts, anytime from Fidelity.com. We make it simple for you to remove lockdown mode whenever you have a need to transfer or withdraw money. If your account is a joint account, either account owner can enable and disable the lockdown. You can select accounts individually or place the block on all accounts. To Lock: To place your accounts in lockdown mode, log in into your Fidelity.com account anytime and visit Security Center from Profile. To Unlock: To remove lockdown, log in into your Fidelity.com account anytime and visit Security Center from Profile. Just make sure your account profile has your up-to-date phone numbers on file.
