Employee Scholarship Terms: All applicants must read the eligibility Terms and Conditions in full. By accepting a scholarship from the Louise & Christopher B. Munday Foundation, it is understood that you have read and agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. Employee applicant must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident to be considered for the scholarship. Employee applicant must have been continuously employed in an active full or part-time position with the company for at least 6 months by the application submission deadline. o Recipients must be employed with the company at the time awards are granted and announced. Employee applicant must: o Possess a high school diploma/GED and o Be a current undergraduate student at a college or university. Employee applicant must be attending an accredited two (2) or four (4) year college or university within the United States. Award recipients must be enrolled as a part or full-time undergraduate student for the upcoming semester. o Proof of enrollment is required. Scholarship funding is not guaranteed; eligible applications submitted for review will be considered and selected recipients will be notified via email. The timeline for the review process of an application cannot be expedited; therefore, employee applicants should not delay making any required payments to their academic institution. The Louise & Christopher B. Munday Foundation seeks to promote and support the enrollment of diverse individuals into institutions of higher education, especially those from historically underrepresented groups. When determining scholarship awards, consideration will be given to employees who have self-identified either as a member of an underrepresented U.S. ethnic minority group or as a first generation college student. All scholarships are awarded on the basis that the recipient will maintain an active, full- time enrollment status at their academic institution for the duration of the semester. A previously-awarded scholarship may be terminated if a recipient’s enrollment status changes, for example if a recipient decides to discontinue their studies. Requests for deferment of a scholarship award will be determined on an individual basis and at the discretion of the scholarship committee. Scholarships will not be paid while a student is on leave of absence from school. All information regarding awarded scholarship amount is to remain confidential. The Foundation may terminate a recipient’s scholarship if they have: o discontinued their studies or they have an inactive enrollment status; o failed to meet the eligibility requirements of the scholarship; o failed to meet the scholarships terms and conditions; o been suspended or expelled from school; o been made an incorrect scholarship offer as determined by the scholarship committee at its sole discretion; and/or o provided incorrect, false or misleading information or withheld relevant information on the scholarship application or after receiving a scholarship award. An employee recipient will need to repay the scholarship award if: o the payment is made to them in error or they have been overpaid; o the scholarship is terminated; o they do not meet the conditions of the scholarship or are deemed to be ineligible for the scholarship. In the event that an employee is required to repay a scholarship award, they must do so within two (2) weeks of receiving the initial notification. By applying for the scholarship, an employee applicant grants the Foundation permission to post their name and photo in the event they are awarded the scholarship. (Recipients will be required to provide a photo.) The post may be shared on social media channels and/or via other marketing communications. Recipients may be required to provide a short testimonial with some background information about themselves. The Louise & Christopher B. Munday Foundation reserves the right to change the scholarship program at any time, including but not limited to, the number of available scholarships, deadlines, requirements and/or scholarship amounts. The Louise & Christopher B. Munday Foundation will be collecting personal data about applicants online. By applying for the scholarship, applicants hereby agree to collection and use of their personal information. Applicant’s information will not be shared with third-parties. Scholarship awards will be granted in a one-time, non-renewable, non-transferrable payment directly to the recipient’s school. Award recipients are only eligible to receive one (1) award per academic semester. This scholarship award is intended to cover one academic semester only. An employee may be awarded up to a maximum of two (2) Louise & Christopher B. Munday Foundation scholarship awards total per academic year. Applications are received (and awards are distributed) during the fall & spring semesters only. Applications that are received outside of the stated application period will not be considered. Scholarship awards must be used for tuition and other qualified education expenses like student fees, books, related supplies, and equipment. 2020 is not a tax preparation specialist, nor can we consult or provide recommendations related to the use of funds awarded through the Louise & Christopher B. Munday Foundation. It is the recipient’s responsibility to consult a personal accountant or tax specialist with any tax-related scholarship questions. These Terms and Conditions are subject to change. I understand that by submitting this application, I agree that the information I have provided is true and accurate. I also understand that any award I receive is to be used for tuition, books and other qualified academic expenses, and is not eligible for a cash payout or similar exchange.
