jô osbórnia poet. performer. translator. after the media and legal coup in brazil in 2016, i moved from rio de janeiro to berlin with a grant from the poesiefestival / haus für poesie in collaboration with goethe institut (“kein schöner land”). in 2019, with the help of many friends, i founded KUIR (kuirpoetry.com, @kuirpoetry), an independent and collaborative project / magazine focused on queer poetry from an anti-colonial perspective.
