MODULE 2: IMAGINING Lesson 5: Visualization How to Use This GLOW SHEET: 1.) Watch the corresponding video. 2.) You're going to flex your visualization skills by creating a vision board or mind movie, reading some poetry, painting, drawing and daydreaming! Remember that this is supposed to be fun. You're designing your ideal life here. I imagine fun is a part of it so don't be too literal. Allow the ideas and inspiration to flow. VISION BOARDING Create a vision board, mind movie or Pinterest Board by collecting images that conjure positive emotions like excitement serenity, joy and love. Don't worry if an image doesn't make sense or surprises you. If you have a positive reaction to it just save it. Remember images transcend words and logic. When you settle in to assemble your board or movie you can edit. Mind Movie will help you take your vision and create a movie you can watch daily to manifest your desires. Pinterest is an app that allows you to create various boards to virtually "pin" images to that's really fun. POETRY Poetry uses imagery to spark all 5 senses (sight, hearing, touch, taste, smell). Here's a example from Kelly Roper's poem, Egret Rising. "Like a phoenix rising not from flames but watery reeds, The egret flapped its wings and gracefully rose up from the weeds. The flash of white feathers shone against green leaves and clear blue sky, The majestic bird set a course unknown and swiftly away did fly." Find some poems you like or check out my favorite, Mary Oliver in the Recommended Resources to ignite your imagination. Lesson 5: Visualization © You Are Complete LLC 2 GLOW SHEET ART Whether you're a seasoned or novice artist, drawing or painting is a powerful way to express your desires. Try to create an image that represents your ideal life and see what emerges. You can also look at art and/or take photos that inspire you. Add them to a vision or Pinterest Board or mind movie. DAYDREAMING Create time to allow your mind to wander whether you're washing your hair or sitting in a park. Ask yourself if I could do anything what would I like to do? and allow the scene to play out in the most blissful way. Try the Perfect Day Meditation.
